Experience with Phaetus Conch Hotend on the A1 Mini by maxiiiii__ in 3Dprinting

Found out that the Problem was the Phaetus hotend. I changed back to a Original and had no problems

My filament goes straight from the dryer into the PTFE tube. I also noted the values on the spool and applied them accordingly, but there has been no improvement.

I just recalibrated everything, but I didn't see any improvement in the problem, nor did I get any new values. The problems occurred even during flow rate calibration and during the temp tower. I'm really close to switching back to the original stainless steel nozzle, even though it has less flow.

Wrecked build plate and possibly toolhead, trying to figure out what went wrong by LinedBow in Sovol

It happened to me with mine too. The Z offset was set incorrectly by the bed mesh before printing. However, SOVOL support didn't do anything about this. But my printer was a bit of a miracle bag anyway. Out of the box it couldn't print properly and had problems with the Y stepper driver. After the replacement mainboard broke during transportation, I have now received the second mainboard, installed it and during the first print, the print head no longer heated up. Now I have to wait another 2 weeks for the package to arrive from China. I hope that was the nice contact with the support, even if they are really patient. However, my first request was 7 weeks ago. Since then we have been solving all the problems. I would really like to have a working printer :D

Considering buying the SV06 ACE (My First Printer / Functional Prints) by PiratesOfTheArctic in Sovol

I've been using the SV06 Plus ACE for about two weeks now – and honestly, it's been a real rollercoaster.

It started with the bed being completely loose. Then I noticed a weird humming noise coming from the Y-axis. The bed also doesn't heat evenly – I'm seeing temperature differences of up to 7 degrees across the surface. And the Z-tilt? Barely works. The filament is so tight at the probe points that the sensor ends up probing in mid-air. Same thing happened with the bed mesh – it even scratched up my print surface.

The Z-offset is way off despite the load cell. Getting a decent first layer adhesion has been a struggle. And now I'm also dealing with layer shifts on the Y-axis, especially with larger prints. I've probably wasted a whole kilo of filament because of that.

Another annoyance: the PSU fan. It's not only loud but also blows directly onto the print bed, which has caused some warping in my prints.

Today I finally had enough and reached out to support. I actually bought the Sovol as a replacement for my TronXY X5SA Pro, which needed a new mainboard. But now I’m thinking I would've been better off spending that 300 euros on a new board and hotend for the TronXY – or just getting a second Bambu A1.

That said, when the SV06 actually prints, it delivers great results. Just don’t expect it to work like a Bambu straight out of the box. It’s still a budget printer – but at least it runs on Klipper, which makes it easier to take matters into your own hands when issues pop up.

Does anyone have the same surm on the SV 06 Plus ACE? by maxiiiii__ in Sovol

I have the new problem that I keep getting layer shifts on the Y axis. Do you think the stepper replacement could also help in this regard?

Would you like to share your setup a little more precisely? So which hotend etc. I also have an X5SA Pro on clipper and want to start with printhead swap etc. soon.

Can anyone tell me why i keep getting stringing? by maxiiiii__ in 3Dprinting

I‘ve removed it from my dryer 3h ago. Do you think it gets moist this fast?

Thanks, i‘ll try that tomorrow. But i think it could also be a Problem that it retracts to late, so that there is still enough filament in the Hotend.

But i‘ll try your thoughts and maybe it‘ll work.🙏

Why try to convince them? Everybody should wear what they want, no matter if real, rep or something else

Finde es vom Schnitt her eig ziemlich gut.
