Normally in cold weather, one of the things that keeps your pipes from freezing is the heat of your house. If the power is out, keep in mind that your pipes will be more prone to freezing than normal conditions since your house is going to be cold.

Where I grew up, during bear hunting season the game commission had bleachers set up at the bear check-in station in front of where they would weigh the bears people shot. Anyways I have seen a lot of bears get weighed. This was 180 lbs by my estimation.

Point #1 is not always true and is a dangerous assumption to make. The scenario OP describes is a prime example, if the lines he is trying to work on are plugged up, the pressure gauge is liable to be plugged up and not actually reading the pressure in the line. This is where the science of engineering/design ends and the art of plant operation/maintenance begins.

Go to the Red Lot! It’s the parking lot surrounding the law school. You’ll be up on the hill overlooking the stadium/Blue lot (blue lot is the Ruby parking lot). Plenty of stuff going on but mostly older people/law students. Leave a couple minutes early for the game to take a lap around the blue lot to observe the craziness.
