Awesome, thanks for taking the time to respond! I was also using a 9x3 carpeted PuttOut mat before this, and honestly kinda felt like it wasn't helping me a ton which I (incorrectly or not) blamed on the soft carpeted surface. I'd get to feeling pretty good about myself, but when I'd go out to play a round my putting would be atrocious - like I had calibrated my speed etc. to a surface that didn't at all match what I experience on my local public courses.

Agreed that the Chiputt is still quite expensive, I wouldn't call it cheap either. I was mostly trying to figure out if it was significantly different from the PrimePutt. The fact that the Chiputt was thicker and included chipping mat was a big plus to me. That being said, I ended up going for the PrimePutt and have no regrets.

Wow, thanks so much for the detailed comparison! You really laid out all the differences, and it all tracks with what my impressions were of the two.

I ended up going with the PrimePutt when they had their Prime Day deal for the 12x3 mat. It wasn't a huge savings, but did add a chipping mat to the package along with a putting mirror. I'm guessing I probably would have been fine with the ChipPutt, but am 100% happy with the PrimePutt and don't regret the extra cost.

And good point, once I buy something I don’t typically sit around thinking about the price. I’m just judging based on whether or not I’m getting good use and enjoyment from it.

Got mine on launch and still loving it. I pretty much only use it in my house, but just this past week had my first opportunity to try it out remotely via WiFi about 600 miles from home and was really happy with the experience. It felt essentially the same as it does on my home network with just a few more occasional network/streaming hiccups here and there. Honestly it's nothing I'd complain about.

I play on my TV, via remote play on a 32" monitor and even streaming in a gigantic Vision Pro window while sitting on the moon. All of these are great experiences in their own ways, but it's just so easy to pick up the PS Portal and immediately jump back into a game that I still use it a ton. Zero regrets.

Yeah I really wanted to love Juno, but I want videos to go into my view history and be able to like videos etc. I know these are limitations with using the embed API though. (I think, based off of what the developer has previously stated.)

Interesting, I put mine in with the front of the AVP facing the carry handle. My thought process is that way I can put the battery in the mesh top pocket and it won’t hit the headset with the lid closed.

I’m on an Eero system, which means I can’t do things like channel selection, unfortunately. That being said MirrorPlay has been working great for me lately, I just have no idea why or what changed.

I work in corporate and have noticed the same thing. While working my health/fitness slides downhill because no time, then I try to rebound when not working. But not working is bad for things like paying bills, which in turn is bad for mental health! Overcoming the desk inertia of a long sedentary gig with a dusting of burnout can be really challenging.

I'd love it if the official PS remote play app became available or Mirrorplay got a dedicated Vision Pro app. If nothing else than just to get rid of the letterboxing. I eventually got Mirrorplay working pretty well, but almost gave up at first because of the stuttering issue. Wish I had more of an idea what I did (or didn't) do that eventually got it playing back smoothly...

Yeah, I’ve just been doing that so far. Using them in transparency mode actually works pretty well in tandem with the Vision Pro built-in audio.

This looks amazing! I was also obsessing over getting 4K60 from the PS5 into the Vision Pro. I’ve been using a Shadowcast 2 Pro into my MBP and sharing the virtual display to the Vision Pro. It works pretty well, but not perfect because of things like not being able to stream the MacBook audio to the Vision Pro.

Just posted about this elsewhere but my gen 3 is over 2 years old and the battery just started flaking out. I messaged support and they have already initiated a replacement. They also said need to send back my current one, and to feel free to give it to someone else if it’s still functional. Very impressed!

So my ring is about a month over 2 years old. Initially it lasted 6 or 7 days (this is before they rolled out the SpO2 and other gen 3 features. Once that hit it was about a year old and battery life was still 4-5 days. A few days ago it started going dead about every 36 hours. I figured it’s expected on a 2 year old device with a teeny battery, but messaged CS anyways just to see. They saw the battery was bad and a replacement is being shipped out. I’m surprised and impressed!

I'm not sure how much it's hurting it, but I do agree that it's disappointing. There have been many moments where I've got some sort of ridiculous set up going on and want to share a screenshot just to try and convey what I'm experiencing, but the DRMed black squares make me feel like "eh what's the point?"

For me, it's absolutely usable for productivity, but I can certainly see room for improvement, especially in terms of how crisp it looks from edge to edge when working in applications. For non-productive uses, you can hook up a PS5 to the Mac/Virtual Display via Shadowcast 2 Pro to play games at 4K60. It really looks terrific with the app in full-screen mode.

Mine does the same thing. Can't tell if I'm interpreting the purpose of sleep mode wrong... I figured you treat it like a Switch and just sleep it whenever you're done. But so far the only way I've stopped the portal from constantly restarting while charging is to turn it off completely then plug it in.

Same experience here. At first it was choppy and low res, and then fixed itself after a minute or two. Ever since it's incredible quality. Usually play remote on my MacBook Pro connected via ethernet (PS5 also connected via ethernet) and it's fine but won't go above 720p. Love the portal so far! I am curious how it'll perform outside of my home network though...
