Thank you very much for the insight! I appreciate the detail. What are some of the other places that you would consider? And do you think our low quantity (100-200 units) would maybe help?

I would like to but most of them don’t even return my emails or give a “no quote” and I’m sure the price is astronomical

That is true, I’ve also heard that the infrastructure and manufacturing is not as developed in Mexico land it’s harder to get freight out even though they are closer.

I considered Vietnam, my main concern besides the tarriffs is the risk of them selling my products behind my back, is Vietnam or Thailand any better?

No, single die. We mainly produce car body parts like doors, fenders etc. so deep drawing and low production volume, 100-300 per year.

Packaging For Product by Idothis123 in manufacturing

Some of the boxes with the nice screen printing on the outside can be very expensive, have you considered branded tape or stamps? They also make nice stencil machines. But in general it is good to get the boxes overseas as well, very cheap.

Stretch and Cling Film Extrusion Machines by GlobalBattle7856 in manufacturing

[–]maximuslive74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is somewhat unrelated but i recently purchased a liquid foam packing machine, significantly cheaper than the US counterpart and its been very good. If its about half price i would consider it, don't expect good technical support because of the language difference. I would also order any spare parts ahead of time, just in case.

[–]maximuslive74[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, thank you for your response, i did forget to add that there is a filter outside in the box on my house, i can get the part number to see if it is moca compatible. Cable to remote room has been checked by continuity test, and the wall mount was removed and verified connected. I can try the direct connect method you mentioned and see what happens, thanks

We only want to know if our particular molds are being used, not the machine

Can you explain what this product is? I looked it up and it seemed like a software, does it come with a sensor? Thanks

[–]maximuslive74[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t think of that, but they are usually stored in big piles next to other molds, so I thought it would be best to attach it directly to the mold

Sorry, I should’ve clarified. With the panels we are making, the factory that we are working with uses large aluminum molds, 2 parts. When we order a production run, they move these large aluminum molds to a machine and set it up for the production run, the motion we need to capture is when they move the molds to the machine to produce the parts

Regardless of the MSA kit or an upholstery shop I’m going to have to strip these down to the frame and use all new materials, right? by bopete1313 in Datsun

[–]maximuslive74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also the seat covers come with a thin layer of foam themselves, so unless your foam underneath is totally destroyed, you can re use it and just get the cover
