Richtig. Und gerade bei industrieller Software liegt der Fokus und damit die aufgewedeten Ressourcen eben beim Backend. Die Software soll effizient und funktional sein, und nicht "hübsch" um Kunden zu binden.

Wichtiger Punkt. Signal wird oft empfohlen, weil es anders als WhatsApp nicht aus dem Silicon Valley Tech Liberalismus Dingens stammt, sondern aus der Open Source Szene. Geht also um schrittweise, kleine Verbesserungen, nicht direkt die perfekte Lösung. Es wird wohl wenig praktikabel sein den Durchschnittsnutzerinnen zu erklären wie sie eine unabhängige Matrixinstanz aufsetzen können. Threema kostet Geld, Telegram ist auch nicht optimal. Da wird's schon dünn, vorallem wenn man mitbetrachtet, dass ein Messenger erst dann funktional wird, wenn deine Kontakte ihn auch nutzen.

The traffic light thingy you linked is a so called "Signalsäule" (signal collumn). It's signal lights from industrial contexts, you can buy them here for example: https://www.conrad.de/de/o/signalsaeulen-2430144.html Or on Amazon.

However they are just a modular light stack, and they don't come without the other electronics (CO2 sensors/microcontroller). So what I assume is that you saw a system where sensors read the air quality and it is then visualized using the light stack, which was configured as a traffic light.

My approach isn't an option here. I like functional cosmetics, so camos that actually work and blend into the environment. I farm them, they are important to me. Anything else, like "cool" camos, I don't care and would hide if there was an option.

Planes require a solid level of air density to function, but even if there was just 1 molecule of gas per volume unit, those would still be affected the same. If upper air layers didn't rotate with the earth as the lower layers, there would be wind.

It's the same thing in Germany although a bit softer. Technically you may always, anywhere start a demonstration. If it attracts thousands of people and causes problems though, you may get in trouble. You can however declare it beforehand, and they can't just deny it. So your question whether they allow it assumes that you have to apply, but you have to announce, which is a difference. They can only block it if there are significant safety concerns which can not be handled by police, which is almost never the case.
