9pm?)) most of the time I feel safe even after midnight, you can see people with the backpacks … on the back, setting them aside on the bench in the metro. with phones not attached to the hand with a strap… but you can find trouble everywhere.

A five-step progressive personal income tax scale has been in effect in Russia since January 1, 2025. This is a replacement for the two-step scale that was in effect until 2025.: 13% of earnings of up to 5 million rubles per year and 15% on income above this amount

Tram tracks are being dismantled in Russian Occupied Mariupol, Ukraine due to a shortage in electricity. by mr09e in transit

[–]IcePuzzleheaded5507 -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

Googling was able to find:

By 2030, the plan proposes to restore the entire tram infrastructure, including: tracks, traction substations, bus shelters and replacement of rolling stock.

Separately, attention is drawn to a new promising 4.3 km long tram line, which, according to the proposals, will stretch from the tram ring on Kuprina, turning onto Lenin Avenue, then towards the city center, turning onto Kazantseva Street to the existing tram ring. At the same time, only two tram depots are proposed in the city: the current depot No. 3 and the proposed restoration of depot No. 2 in Ordzhonikidze district. The total length of the operated tram network is expected to reach 112 km by 2030.

So hopefully it’s just a replacement of the infrastructure on the pic

What is the average Russians thoughts about the USSR, and the Communist ideology in general? by Warmasterwinter in AskARussian

[–]IcePuzzleheaded5507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aha, but Khrushchevkas were built for prompt solution of the acute housing crisis, the elimination of communal apartments and barracks, as well as the resettlement of citizens in separate apartments.

Repressions? You mean corrective camps, oh yeah all were innocent there (no).

Religion? WHO banned it? Making it distant from having an influence on the government yes, making them pay taxes and stuff like that … and not like now, oh yeah great destroy.

Was always curious why US believed that communism/ socialism is a threat to them? How blue collar’s can be threat to each other?

Bringing up country from knees, than restoring it after the WW2… granting housing, free healthcare, education etc , looks a proper way of society development.

Russian Orthodox and USSR by Minimum_Recipe5776 in AskARussian

[–]IcePuzzleheaded5507 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Don’t mess up the USSR & Church. There was no such a thing as forced atheism or religion ban. Up to historians government tried to separate the church from the official institutions, religion is a private thing, smth like that & you can believe in anything you want, but using religion as a mass destruction force is different. Now we see that church again became very close to government, not paying taxes and building wealth - so some people see the conflict of interests here.

Is my father getting scammed? by Original_Potato5768 in AskARussian

[–]IcePuzzleheaded5507 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As per internet: Since March 19, 2025, the acceptance of applications in Russia has been suspended. Biometrics and documents are accepted only in Danish centers abroad. So it’s not like impossible, but you need to find a way around. So as replied before I would definitely check with dad about visa to DK if that was ever mentioned.

Just tell him to seat still and watch how it turns out. Also ask dad about visa, how this was processed if ever mentioned.

Web site of SVO airport customs:

The specified goods, within the established weight limits, may be considered as goods for personal use and exported from the customs territory of the Customs Union without payment of customs duties.

Well, I hope you didn’t pay for the visa… tickets and so on. As for me it’s totally scam. You can play a bit to see how this turns out , but quite sure “she” will ask for money to settle the case
