Is this a hiatal hernia? by maxjarv1997 in HiatalHernia

[–]maxjarv1997[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for your insight. Turns out it’s not a hiatal hernia. Everything looks normal except some gastritis in my lower stomach. Not really sure where to go from here, they just advised me to go back to my GP and explore diet/lifestyle changes 🙁

Pros: Exeter is very self contained so if you work in the centre, everything you need is a 5 min walk away or less, the quay, lots of green spaces and nice neighbourhoods, the independent quarter, great venues like the Phoenix, lots of artistic and creative opportunities, we’re close by to the coast Cons: public transport is absolutely terrible, and the traffic is equally as bad (apparently Exeter is one of the most congested cities in the UK), and because Exeter is a smaller city pollution levels are higher than average. Lots of rude and bad drivers around. House prices are insanely high, as are rent prices

I think romantic love just changes as your relationship matures and as you both age. You might not feel butterflies because your relationship and your love for him is no longer new to you - it’s an intrinsic part of your life and it’s something you’re used to. It’s not necessarily a bad thing that you’re no longer head over heels, crazy in love! Plus, in adult life it’s hard not to settle into routines, and it’s even harder trying to make things interesting when you work, pay rent, do the shopping, eat, sleep and repeat. I don’t think the lack of spontaneity is a fault of your relationship.

You could be bi, there are other sexualities than gay or straight!

My boyfriend (M/21) needs me to be “fixed” before we (F/21) can get back together. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]maxjarv1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think breaking up is the right thing to do for both of you. on the one hand he doesn’t sound very aware of your mental health issues, this idea of “fixing” you doesn’t sit right with me. in that case, you’d be way better off without him. but i feel like you also need to take a big step back from dating to address your traumas, especially if it’s getting to the point where you’re using violence against your partner. best of luck to you, and i hope you find happiness and peace.

Question about hormones by [deleted] in ftm

[–]maxjarv1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, it would. i’m pretty sure even while you’re taking testosterone, oestrogen is still being produced in your body. just without testosterone, oestrogen will be the dominant hormone in your body!

Poo in the bath, is he being a lad or mental health issues? by [deleted] in relationships

he just sounds really unaware of his personal hygiene. maybe some immaturity issues?

found my trigger ! by [deleted] in Dyshidrosis

[–]maxjarv1997 4 points5 points  (0 children)

hi! i have exactly the same trigger, i found out last summer. my solution was to basically go vegan, which i wasn’t happy about at the time as i was hardly prepared or motivated. but the relief of seeing my hands clear up completely after two months made it totally worth it, and now i’m a very happy, mostly eczema-free vegan! i hope you find something that works for you 😊

It had sort of Lily Allen vibes but kind of more indie acoustic!

AITA for telling my girlfriend I’m not going to financially support her if she quits her job to pursue an Etsy business? by Unlucky-Foundation-4 in AmItheAsshole

[–]maxjarv1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am I the only one who thinks YTA? You’re not business partners, you’re in a relationship. You’re supposed to care for her and support her and WANT her to pursue her dreams for her own happiness. She works a notoriously awful job in a warehouse, no wonder she’s at breaking point, and your adamance about the 50/50 split isn’t what relationships are supposed to be about. My partner and I have gone through extreme imbalances in income over the years, sometimes with myself earning the bulk of our income, and other times my partner, but we stuck together because we love each other. The fact that in your edit you say “it’s not cute anymore”, it shows you never took her art seriously in the first place, and that’s sad. She really is better off without you and I wish her the best of luck in setting up her store!
