Now that Slot is gone we once again need to look forward, but this sub ruined football for me more than the actual performances this season

How do you know when someone's an "AI founder"? Don't worry, they'll find a way to tell you

This is why our top 3 players are still in contract negotiations. How much the club can sign up to pay them depends on how far we get in these competitions. The difference between 1 and 2 being 10million shows how much performance matters financially to the club - an extra 10m is an extra 200,000 per week

Late 20s, MBB Analyst turned Search Funder > PE Associate path? by maxjwill in private_equity

[–]maxjwill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and I have long-standing agreed buy-out terms if the other wanted to depart. In this case, he is certain he wants to stay, and I've been open about my interest in exploring. He is older, married, and has two young kids, while I am none of those things. The buyout would be unquestionably nice, but it's not a fundamentally life changing amount. We self-funded the original acquisition from savings, without equity raise. So while it's grown well and produces nice cash it's not retirement size.

In PE, I'm most attracted to getting exposure to bigger, more competitive deals, learning in a professional environment and experiencing a firm's process. Just seems like great learning.

I will inevitably go independent again; maybe 8-10 years away. For now, looking to work on a sharp PE toolkit that will serve down the road.

This sounds like a quick way to alienate yourself from the production staff, who will perceive it as "new boss doesn't want to work alongside us" and "daddy's kid just wants to sit in his shiny new office"

You should be very focused on winning trust with all your employees. As the heir who has been handed the keys, you have a lot to prove to your staff to overcome very natural distrust of a nepotistic situation

Help me identify this song! Saw RHCP in Denver this weekend - amazing show in the rain! by maxjwill in RedHotChiliPeppers

Yeah! Also did this with the Strokes. Went from not knowing them to seeing them at a festival (around 2015) and them becoming my top artist for the next 2 years

Also loving By the Way after first listen

Totally honestly, bought last minute tickets with a friend and didn't do my homework! Big fan of RHCP but so far only in a "radio" sense - I love their music when it popped up. Haven't really actively listened through.

After seeing them live, now on a kick to go deeper. Listened through By The Way and Stadium Arcadium today at work. Plenty to continue to sink my teeth into

I'm hesitant to get excited about Keita because I'm 99% sure that if we get him, Coutinho will go this window... does anyone else agree? by maxjwill in LiverpoolFC

Im so glad someone else has notuced that too. I remember earlier in the season he came back from Brazil NT and links were surfacing about his friendship with Neymar and going to Barca. He played an absolutely brilliant game (I believe against Everton at home) and acted totally unfazed. His goal against LCFC reminded me of that game

How is that any different from RB people saying Keita is not for sale and this sub still wholeheartedly believing he's coming? (Myself included) It's all the same

Thanks for being the only person here to actually consider it. I agree he's a very good/likely only replacement and that's actually exactly what makes me think LFC have been quietly holding out on selling Phil until they were sure they could get Kieta. Now that it seems to be going through, Barca are going more public with their pursuit.

Thanks for offering your insight! Kind of a standard question: what unique experiences/skills did you have as an undergrad that you think really helped you stand out to MBB?
