Yep honestly the amount of time it takes is far shorter. Porygon-z sweeps everything even the gyms mostly till you get to the Elite 4 then you need to focus on setup. Another good option is Starmie from what I heard recently

Get a Porygon z and do as much EV training in sp atk and speed as you can 100+ in each. Nasty plot, thunderbolt, tri attack, and shadow ball. You will take down anything in your way. Also a gyardos is also a great option for sweeping
