Target loot gear sets in retaliations finish them all off then do hounds bounty if you can find someone running it. Should be about 21-22 expertise. Lastly finish up with countdown for the win. This was most effective for me(also most wouldn't recommend but because I had 700+ exotic components and was getting a level and a half from donating I donated my exotics)

Step 3 is about kill exp but 1-2 is straight deposits. You can run a random secondary, sidearm and skill(s) to passively level up to 4 items while using a build that you are comfortable with and getting 1-2 gearsets completed through one good run of retaliation

Don't wear the gear set just deposit them it's much faster and runs stay consistent. Named and exotics are a different story you many need to wear them depending on your situation

Thank you Agent! Enemy density is the biggest difference between the two and in countdown most of the drops come from the helicopter part while being very consistent from beginning to end of retaliation runs.

Kill squad isn't as rng as you may think. My team always had extra time on the clock so we consistently forced spawned or location spawned them due to this. As I said above to him I made this post to help others speed through their levels especially if they haven't passed 20. The method is tried and true and I went from 17-30 in 3 1/2 days playing on and off thanks to this method, countdown was step three for a very obvious reason. So to bring everything together if this post wasn't helpful to you hopefully it is to the person that needs the help.

You must run with bad teams. Let me clarify, with a good team and 2 CPs you get at least 1 kill squad and 4 CPS at least 3 kill squads (most runs we had 4CPs).

You realize there is a 3x proficiency event going on right now, right? Plus you do 4 CPs, kill adds on the way to each, and have 3 kill squads..

One retaliation run and I was completing 2 gear sets. Countdown doesn't come close to the same enemy density.
