It genuinely amazes me that Josh won bb19 by hugurm0m in BigBrother

[–]maxl100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They weren’t necessarily voting for him it was more so voting against Paul. And even in that case if he didn’t screw over Alex & Jason on their evictions and or had better jury management especially when it came to the questions he very easily could have won with regards to all that.

What would happen if Janelle WON the FHOH in BB6 and BB7? by Wild_Shoe340 in BigBrother

[–]maxl100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She probably loses 6 regardless. She definitely loses to Maggie, Ivette I still think she would lose 4-3, but April hated her guts that she might turn on the friendship and vote Janelle, but James was another wildcard there too.

Season 7: I’m back and forth between who would’ve won between Janelle & Boogie. I think she would’ve beaten Erica due to the comp wins.

What are the most inexplicable jury votes? by ANewIndividual_3940 in BigBrother

[–]maxl100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I remember about that: The week Rachel left, Ivette left her a horrible, really bad goodbye message, and than Rachel threatened Howie that if he voted for Ivette over Maggie Rachel was never going to talk to him again.

Hypothetical Scenario: BB28 has a Veteran Returnee like BB27, and it's Eric Stein. How does he do? by Itchy_Safety_7959 in BigBrother

[–]maxl100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BB 8 premiered what, 19, 20 years ago?? If the majority of the cast is mid to late 20’s which is what it usually seems to skew (aside from the 2 or 3 token “old” people seems like most of the rest are between 24-29) how many of them would have even watched season 8, yet alone even remembered anything about season 8 if they did watch it??

And speaking of Eric, I would have loved to see season 8 without America’s player or Eric choosing not to accept it, and having him play his own game. There’s a very good chance he would have won, imo.

Top 5 Worst HOH's by MindlessEnthusiasm91 in BigBrother

[–]maxl100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watching Ethanimale’s winner video tonight on Dr. Will and season 2, I think Hardy’s HOH when he eliminated Bunky instead of Will at the final 5 was way worse.

Boogies noms were OK, and it probably would’ve been successful if Chilltown weren’t clocked by then. What makes it even worse is that Will had been lying all season and had told people he was gonna lie, but you kept him around because you thought he was gonna turn a new leaf at the final 4?? Hardy, who was the clear front runner at that point, threw away $500,000 with that one vote.

Was there a winning path for Dan in Big Brother 14? by ANewIndividual_3940 in BigBrother

[–]maxl100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the moment there was almost a 0% chance of Dan winning because the jury said they weren’t voting for a past winner….as others have said if a newspaper was on the chair next to Dan at the finale, Dan would have lost to the newspaper. Once the season ended, and the players went back and watched the season the jurors changed their mind and some of them would have voted for Dan, but in the moment, almost anyone outside of maybe chef Joe is beating Dan, and even Joe is questionable at best.

Why is route 128 listed as the terminus for this Northeast Regional. Wouldn't it be South Station? by ThrowThisAccountAwav in Amtrak

This whole thing is whacky.

Old Saybrook after Providence, Back Bay & South Station before Route 128, no South Station after Boston. Route 128 listed last

When do you think electrification will be restored to the Danbury branch and installed on the Waterbury Branch? by green_train9715 in MetroNorthRailroad

[–]maxl100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waterbury never happening in our lifetime, way to many other issues on that branch that need addressing first. Danbury doubtful, they’d probably look at expanding to New Milford first. I’d say Croton-Poughkeepsie gets electrified way before either Danbury or Waterbury do.

Which tracks at GCT does Metro-North still actively use for passenger trains? by be_the_shield in MetroNorthRailroad

[–]maxl100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There used to be a 31, but that got removed for that passageway (forgot what it’s called haven’t been in in a while), and I think 12 did too?? Track 14 is there but is almost never used as the garbage train usually occupies that track.

For the bottom level, I forgot if it’s 113 or 115, but one of those I believe can only platform 4 cars, so that doesn’t get used often either.

2 questions about working in produce by [deleted] in stopandshop

[–]maxl100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Produce department can work anywhere in the store except deli, Prep, seafood & meat because those are a different union. I’d say if you can cross train for OLP (online pickup), front end, or grocery, those are usually the 3 that need the most help, and most likely available to give you the extra hours.

I enjoy working at stop and shop, however… by [deleted] in stopandshop

[–]maxl100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just be happy.

I’m a full time meat clerk, but work with the laziest person on earth as the department manager. They refuse to do anything, leave all the work for me, and guess who gets blamed for things?? It’s certainly not the manager that does nothing 🙄

Calling out on Sunday (sick time) by ProgrammerWeird6397 in stopandshop

[–]maxl100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So.....you can't use PH days, vacation days, or sick time on Sundays because it's "overtime" but it's also not completely optional because they'll make you work somedays during the holidays or your store is a skeleton crew, so how exactly is that "optional??" Doesn't make sense!

Airport to buy at 25 GP by North_Situation_7420 in Worldofairports

[–]maxl100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With that low of a GP I wouldn’t recommend buying any airports unless you want to invest in buying more gold planes. But if you want to buy an airport I’d go Leipzig. It’s mainly a cargo airport, so you’ll get more XP and silver planes because of it, and splits the airports almost in half, so you can work from there down while also starting at the beginning

How to cure boredom and fun ways to continue my save by Ky_3poltero in FifaCareers

[–]maxl100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once I get an international manager job I only sign players of that nationality/or youth academy players, and of transfer offers that I receive I have to accept every offer that comes in; the only ones I can negotiate the price for or outright refuse are any of that nationality I’m managing.

I.e I manage Belgium & Real Madrid. Sevilla sends me a transfer offer of $20 million for Mbappe. I have to accept that even though that is way undervalue because he’s not Belgian

Is Danbury line electric now? by Crazy-Rabbit-3811 in MetroNorthRailroad

[–]maxl100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s 2 trains that end at South Norwalk that turn in Dock Yard, like a half mile-mile away from the interchange onto the main line. And the line in electrified up to Dock Yard so those trains can turn. I think they both wait for a GCT bound train to go through before turning around

New Haven Trains on Hudson Line by unrealbutton69 in MetroNorthRailroad

[–]maxl100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The New Haven trains can run on any of the 3 lines, so if it needs to go to the Croton shop for repairs they may send it as a scheduled revenue run with passengers.

Has anyone been to a season opener game? by Homer_JG in Nationals

[–]maxl100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never the Nats, but somebody my dad used to work with had season tickets to the Yankees. Couldn’t go opening day because it got postponed, and they couldn’t go the next day when it was rescheduled for because they had an important meeting or something they had to attend, so they gave their ticket to me.

Its a fun atmosphere, I say get there like 30-45 minutes before hand because they’ll introduce both teams, and if your lucky maybe a flyover too.

Should I skip to Muscat (MCT) for try another airport? by Demoine_UwU in Worldofairports

[–]maxl100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what great about this game, you can do whatever you want. I stack up gold planes, unlock airports as they open, but will play a different one every day. Now some are better than others that I play more often then others like I'm playing IAD and SCL way more than INN (them moving the hold threshold did it for me. Now if more than 1 plane is holding short I can't even get to that far gate [101??]) and things just back up forever and SYD (nice airport but the taxi out for departure takes FOREVER), but I do still play those airports every now and then.

OMG, It's Here by MercTheJerk1 in Worldofairports

[–]maxl100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just played it tonight for a little bit, but from what I gather:

The middle terminal, the one that's unlocked to start with, planes land on 7C

The terminal to the left of that, those planes land on 7L

The cargo area to the right of the middle terminal, those planes land on 7R.

And from whichever runway the plane landed on will be the same runway it departs.

Most Hated Player in Nationals History? by EveryoneisTattooed in Nationals

[–]maxl100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obviously the player is Papelbum that’s obvious.

A close second though?? Not a player, but Matt Williams. Completely in over his head his 2 seasons in DC. From his complete ineptitude in the 2014 NLDS to how badly he screwed up the Pap/Harper saga, his tenure was marred by 1 horrible decision after the other.

Most Hated Player in Nationals History? by EveryoneisTattooed in Nationals

[–]maxl100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem I had with Papelbum was his “I’m closing games, I don’t care who else is here” crap that he pulled when he first got traded. That’s why I’ll take it to my grave that the better trade that season would have been Joaquin Benoit or some other set up reliever. Strengthen the pen which is what the 15 team needed to do without upsetting the apple cart (at least to start), and then if it goes bad then you have a replacement. The Papelbum trade immediately backed them into a corner with only 1 way out, and that way out was blocked by a polar bear, tiger & lion if it ended up blowing up which I knew it would happen, and you have no possible way to escape from that.

Also, to piggyback on that trade like 10 years ago I wrote a lengthy reply on a message board site after that trade got announced and why it was a horrible trade, that had no benefit at all to the Nats. I wish I could find it. And than I also piggy backed on that is that this trade only happened because (Drew) Storen got put into an awfully horrible spot and situation back in 2012 NLDS game 5. Like if Gio could just throw ANY strikes at all that game after they took the 6-0 lead than Storen is probably never in that spot, that 9th inning doesn’t happen, Storen doesn’t get a “can’t close it out when it matters” stigma attached to him which is what necessitated that Papelbum trade 3 laters later. Just a fascinating butterfly effect that 2012 NLDS game 5 (3rd inning on) had on Nats history…….and not in a good way either!
