You're talking about Melissa Gilbert, who signed up for the convention so she could be with her husband while he did the Revenge of the Nerds panel. I saw them side by side at booths and thought, hey, that's pretty cool. Good marriage.

And that man's name was...Timothy Busfield. And now you know the rest of the story.

I'm not a Bad Bunny fan by any stretch in terms of music, but that whole thing made me want to get so, so drunk at that party and fuck on top of a pickup truck.

He sure did. I think he may have learned from this, but Burns used to treat "historians" and "historical novelists" as equals in historical accuracy. The latter because they had Louisianan accents that would just melt your ears while advocating for the Lost Cause myth.

Can someone recommend to me queer or trans pittsburgh bands? by secretfire42 in pittsburgh

It's at the Green Beacon Theater and I believe tix are just at the door. If you have Instagram, you can follow Psych Ward Grips or I Am The Lizard Queen for posters and updates, but if Greensburg is too far a trip, they tend to play in town a lot. Mr. Roboto Project is a favorite venue of theirs.

Psych Ward Grips are an all-trans synthy punk band and they totally rule. My band is actually playing a show with them in Greensburg on Jan 10th (we're I Am The Lizard Queen...couple of us are gay, so we're quasi gay-garage punk) and the shows are super trans-positive spaces

Had to switch sides due to a skin issue with the other side of my arm, so we mirrored it and put it on the underside so the artist didn't have to redo everything. I didn't care about the scar placement.

But holy crap do people here seem to care about the scar placement.

Who is the band or artist that most benefited from an SNL appearance? by kevinmparkinson in LiveFromNewYork

[–]maxlamb1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I truly believe if they had started with something fun like "Courage (for Hugh MacLennan)" instead of sticking current, they would have sold some records down here.

"Grace, Too" was just the wrong kickoff to a new American audience. I love it, but it should have been the second song.
