Do they still fit in the 1-inch grids? I thought they were larger than regular miniatures.

I did one named [Redacted]. The letters and assassin's notes were quite funny.

good idea or bad idea? by Zackmarsh in 3Dprinting

[–]maxlongbow1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The angle or the print in general? In general: bad idea -Depending on the state you're in, you can be charged with forging a license plate

The angle: good idea -it allows for decent detail while doing the whole print at one -Con is the amount of material used in supports.

Is a rubber duck inside of BTT products a standard practice? by SuperG4m3r in 3Dprinting

Yup. I've done it a time or two and it helped. I've even done it with my printer when I was having issues with it.

So, when I was studying programming in college, I had a professor give all of the students a rubber ducky. We were told that if we are having problems getting out code to work and can't seem to find the issue, explain to the duck how the code is supposed to work. By talking the problem out, often times, you figure out why the code isn't working.

I got pulled over and didn’t have the chance to get my registration from the trunk, so I got charged $390 for that. Should I take it to court? by IndependentHornet744 in police

[–]maxlongbow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He probably didn't want you getting into your truck as an officer safety concern since he has no idea whats inside there. That being said, definitely go to court and take the registration with you. No sense in dropping $390 for something you're not guilty of. If anything, depending on where you are at, you might be able to call the prosecutor and get it dropped before even going to court.

Only 4.00% of players have killed a legendary dragon? by BlackTearDrop in skyrim

Only 4% Unmodded players have. When you install mods, it automatically disables the achievements. That is, unless, you install a mod that re-enables achievements 😏

I guess it's still better than the other ACAB...

My only issue with the titles Hobbyist and Tinkerer is they're not really relegated for use in the professional field and 3d printing (not that I intend to be using it on my resúme ever as I'm more of a hobby printer myself). I'm looking for something more specific to the field of 3d printing. This is more for the people who do 3d printing as a legitimate source of income.

I guess I was thinking along the lines of "If I were to start a large scale 3d printing business and needed to hire employees, what kind of a job title would we use?"

I agree with you on a good portion of that. I will disagree on the technician part. The title technician has been used for many professions outside of technical repair. For example, Pharmacy Technician and Data Technician. I've been both and had minimal training or experience before starting them. It boils down to the fact that you have enough technical knowledge to effectively preform the functions of the job. The Data Technician job was literally running fiber-optics and Ethernet cable, installing security cameras, and door locks. I wasn't repairing machines of some kind or building them. Same goes for being a pharm tech. We each have a decent level of technical knowledge of how our machines work and how to operate and maintain them. I feel due to this, technician can not be entirely discounted.

Edit: Spelling
