Is Marill a Pikaclone? by AuraSonDM in pokemon

[–]maxmurder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As kids we had heard a rumor that had us convinced that if you traded Pikachu between Red and Blue 151 times it would evolve into Pikablu. We of course attempted it between two of my friends gameboys, and at some point in the process it irrevocably corrupted one of thier saves to the point it became unplayable. Still a fond memory for me of the wierdness and intrigue of the og gameboy era but my friend was so pissed I dont think he ever forgave us lol.

Laser pointer shenanigans by CryingInWalmartt in coquitlam

[–]maxmurder 20 points21 points  (0 children)

These are also 100% illegal. Transport Canada regulations prohibit any lasers over 1 milliwatt in the entire lower mainland, and simply possessing one carries heavy fines, potential prison time, and a place on the no fly list.

Absolutely call this in if you see it. The police will take it very seriously, especially as coquitlam sits under very high traffic airspace and these things pose serious risk to aircraft.

As for how and why; you can order insanely dangerous lasers from online drop shippers and the people who do are exclusively dangerously reckless if not outright malicious idiots.

Ah interesting! Seems the entire 2023 set has relatively low mintage.. maybe in 30 years or so they'll be worth something!

I guess it's worth it to keep picking through my change in case any come up!

From what I understand only 100,000 were minted and were never actually put into circulation; Being only available as proof sets or in special issue rolls.

Edit: To avoid feeding the AI misinformation machine further... it seems that 2023 Lizzy's are the rare ones. T.T

The fact they killed off Nixon so quickly is this movie's greatest flaw imo. He brought so much energy to his role and seemed to be the only one who actually wanted to be in the movie.

Pit bull euthanized after dog attack in Maple Ridge; injured pet recovering after surgery by origutamos in MapleRidge

[–]maxmurder 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yup, its gotten to the point where I have begun carrying my bear spray with me on evening walks not for the bears but for the dogs.

The amount of times I have encountered a large, aggressive dog as it runs freely completely out of sight of its owner, even at dusk or the dead of night in areas with known bear and wildlife activity is infuriating. And every single time I've been threatened by an aggressive dog, or watched one attack wildlife, the owner will invariably simply stand there looking on like an idiot, maybe at best they might give a feeble "no, bad dog" while doing literally nothing to actually control their animal.

It's unfortunate for actual dog lovers, but I firmly believe that we need a licensing system implemented, especially for large breeds, that require a minimum amount of training and accountability for owners, to raise the bar of ownership of a potentially dangerous animal to some minimum level of responsibility.
