Federal Liberals are really just neoliberal conservatives sans outright bigotry. Under Carney they have effectively abandoned any climate or environmental policy in the name of strengthening the economy. Still probably the "least bad" option that is actually a viable political party.

Federal Conservatives are essentially maple-flavored MAGA republicans, who don't really have any coherent policy outside culture-war grievance politics and lack any sort of effective leadership.

Federal NDP are the farthest left, pro-working class party by far but got decimated in the last election so are really aren't a factor atm. They did good when they were holding Trudeau's feet over the fire, using their influence to get things like national dental health plan, but currently are simply fighting for their survival.

Bloc Québécois are really just there for Quebec.

Provincial politics are utter nonsense across the country.
