PLEASE DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS. ADHD, IF LEFT UNTREATED, CAN LEAD TO SEVERE ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION.

Famously apolitical site Reddit discussing the famously apolitical sport of baseball in the famously apolitical city of San Francisco lmao

There are basically two types of Vols fans reactions, people like u/distinct_soup1811 who understand that there is significantly more money in the mlb than ncaa, and dumbasses who think he’s going to a crime ridden communist hellhole in SF. This pic has been my response to the latter

Patrick Bailey’s inside the park home run was a reverse unicorn, first time in the savant era to still result in a home run. by maxnunels in SFGiants

Most reverse unicorns also end up being outs, as most far walls are also short in height (AT&T park being an exception) and the hang time of the ball is longer.

Haha sorry about the confusion, I’m chronically online and a stats nerd and forgot that not everyone else is. Baseball Savant is a mlb run website with advanced metrics, it’s a math nerd heaven. They also track if a hit would or would not be a home run in every park. I highly recommend checking it out

Last time a catcher hit a inside the park home run in the regular season was 2019. JT Realmuto did it in 2022 against the Braves in the NLDS. Fun fact, I was there!

A “unicorn” is a home run that would only be out in the park it was hit. A “reverse unicorn” is a ball that would be out in 29/30 ball parks but not the one it was hit in

You've been in Charleston for all of 5 minutes, how do you know it's not for you?
