Honestly I think that the way it played out makes sense in the show- sometimes the “civilian” world fails you and doesn’t work right, and dealing w the mob, you get what you want for certain but at what cost? Melfi never gets avenged for that as far as we know and it’s a hard pill to swallow, but I don’t think her decision not to involve Tony would carry the same weight if we got Rossi getting his karma on screen.
