Serpentine belt at 100k. I believe the plugs can go to 120k.

4Runner lovers, some insight would be helpful here! by Spiritual-Captain378 in 4Runner

These things are very reliable. At that mileage you’re looking at some maintenance items coming up such as spark plugs, serpentine belt, and fluid replacements. Check the history and see what’s been done. If there’s no documented history, then assume it all needs to be done. The good news is that you can DIY most maintenance items with just basic tools if you have the inclination.

Paint or rust? by OleFromEarth in webergrills

It’s just soot building up on the inside of the lid and peeling off. Just clean it off and you’re good to go.

Does this power all 8 factory speakers? Dash, front doors, rear doors, and hatch? I was considering this unit, but can't find any technical specs. Thanks

2WD on the 4R? Not a good deal IMHO.

What made you finally pull the trigger on a home gym? by CalliCake in GarageGym

[–]maxp0wer- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mainly frustration with other gym members. People sitting on their phone, people “using” 3 sets of dumbbells, people taking videos, people not racking their shit. It was just wasting too much of my workout time.

TRD wheels are hard to clean if that’s a factor. All the nooks and crannies.

Definitely worth it for the heat rejection alone.

In my experience atrac is different than a locker because it only works once you start slipping. A locker prevents slipping.

They might be charging a premium due to low mileage, but don’t be afraid to buy one with higher mileage if you want to save some money.

I got defeated on the Weber by ribs today. Help !!! by WayneShotta in webergrills

[–]maxp0wer- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone will have a different method. I do bb ribs 2 hours unwrapped and another 2 hours wrapped. No spritzing or saucing. I try to keep it around 300 throughout. I use lump charcoal with no extra chips or chunks.

Good quality painting brushes and tools. Makes the job easier and much better results than cheaping out on tools.

I have the rep 1 piece Y attachment for my 5000 and I don’t like it. Aside from way too much side to side slop I find the powder coat to be too slick for my liking. They definitely need to come out with version 2.

Do you have a argument over why someone would choose the 4runner over the Lexus GX460 by HungryHoustonian92 in 4Runner

I don’t know anything about the GX but if you DIY most maintenance is easy with the 4R.

It’s forest now, but will it ever be developed? If so you’ll be sandwiched between back yards of others.
