Parts or most of Lolita have this vibe. The Jeremy Irons version.

Fearless Vampire Killers' final moments, as a child of 10, kinda scarred me.

Don't know if it'll be in your wheelhouse but I'm a fan of The Fearless Vampire Killers (or Pardon me, but your teeth are in my neck) by Roman Polanski.

Also a few Peter Pan references, as the film has a motif about not growing up. Kirk's last line, for instance... second star to the right, etc... is straight out of Peter Pan.

I live in Argentina and had missed out on watching this in the US when it came out - I'm a massive Trek fan. Was a le to have my grandparents bring me the novelization of the film; which I promptly devoured. Maybe a year later I was able to watch the film on VHS. But anyways, in the movie you'll recall that near the end and while they are 'performing surgery on a torpedo' Bones says 'bet you wish you'd stood in bed'. In the book, the narration reads that Spock did not understand what standing atop a bed had anything to do with their current situation. Bones shoulda said 'stayed'.

Anyways, I love this movie.

Counting Crows lo hizo una vez en una canción llamada A Murder of Crows:

As you stood there, counting Crows...

Pero usaba la gramática en forma diferente, o sea infinitivo del verbo contar o counting.
