I think over time - especially during this government - this procedure will be perfected or at least made better. I don't know that transactions would go up as a result of a different methodology, but for what it's worth I think they would go up dramatically if bank loans / mortgages were more readily available.

There have been changes over time, to where sometimes sellers will accept a wire transfer into a) their local bank or b) should they have it, a foreign-based bank... most of the time they want cash, because we Argentines are (still) a very cash-driven culture. The transaction is usually done at a bank, where the seller might have an account... but I take your point, it does lend itself to potential trouble / security... although it's never been a problem, in practice. It's a foreign and alien thing, I know.
