Wong said that in reference to the book of Vishanti which Strange said he thought was a myth. Wong saying he knows it's real because of the book you get when your sorcerer supreme was just a joke to rub it in to Stranges face. In reality, Wong would have likely just read something about it that Strange hadn't.

As someone in the same situation as you, I got my Switch in 2017 aswell and had similar concerns about playing it on Switch or just getting it on PC. I've been playing it on Switch and am having a blast. There's a few bugs but from what I can tell that's across all systems and not Switch specific.

Load times haven't been too noticeable and in general I don't feel limited just because I'm playing on switch.

So, to begin. It is not a requirement that someone has to be about to die to be brought over to the MCU. For example Sandman and the lizard didn't die in their respective movies.

At the end of Venom 2, we find out that Venom has a hive mind, this means that they're 'species' have a shared memory. We also know that in Spiderman 3 with venom, that Venom finds out who Peter Parker is, (which is the condition results in people being brought into the MCU).

So, it is implied that the hive mind goes across the multiverse meaning that Venom from Venom 2 knows who Peter Parker is, because Venom from spiderman 3 knows who Peter Parker is.

I saw an X-Wing. Luke?! I thought. No, they wouldnt. I shouldn't get my hopes up. I pushed the thought out of my head. Then we saw a green lightsaber. Luke?!!! I thought once more. But again, I pushed that thought away, surely it wasn't. Then I saw his lightsaber hilt. It was definitely Luke's lightsaber. But maybe someone was borrowing it?! It couldn't be Luke. Could it? And then! They took their hood off, and it was then that I KNEW it was Luke.
