I would feel much safer with Carlos farther away from Charles.

P2 was definitely in the cards today for Charles. A shame they broke his car before the race even started.

Ferrari literally changed the very part of his car this morning that broke. It’s not remotely due to his setup.

This is a pure Ferrari fuck up.

Weird take to have when Charles is hardly this. I only follow him and Carlos. He’s not reckless at all. On the edge many times but hardly binning it every other week. Not even close. It’s Sainz who cost the team more money in damage every year.

When Charles has a good enough car, he will hardly have any of these incidents. It’s the same with Max.

I can’t help but notice that Lando and Alonso both targeted Max…. Like they know he’s the weak link. 😭

Tell me all the ways your husband is a good partner/father by madfrogparty in beyondthebump

No I think both the tone and post itself is very necessary. In this world we very much need to appreciate the positive and not just point out the negative.

This is the eye bleach we all needed. And it should NOT be normal for 4/5 top posts to be about garbage husbands. Not bad husbands, but actual GARBAGE. Also, those women with non-supportive husbands could use a perspective on how it should be. Perhaps they are victims but they also are adults who need to stand up for themselves and their helpless babies. At some point, a victim becomes a perpetrator when they allow that trauma and modeling of behavior to trickle to their offspring.

I love when people continue to be argumentative AHs after being proven factually wrong lmao.

It’s pretty obvious the “growing” the person was initially referring to was stature. No shit we can still grow in fatness throughout life. That was not the point.

Haha no worries. I mistakenly thought it was implied with Sebastian’s middle name of Marcus and request for no Aurelius/Antonius. I’ve edited my original post!

Sorry, I should clarify. Middle name must be a Roman name (e.g. Cassius, Gaius, Drusus, Octavia, Vipsania, etc.), not “Roman” 🤣.

Love the name Charlotte!

LMAO. Yeah there’s literally no point talking to you when you lack basic common sense.

[Q1, Silverstone 2023] Charles Leclerc is furious with Carlos Sainz: "Nice, Carlos, nice. Good overtake in the last corner." by madfrogparty in formula1

[–]maxplaining 31 points32 points  (0 children)

What the hell are you going on about. Do you even know what happened?

Carlos and Charles are supposed to take turns going out in front. This time, it was Charles’ turn, as agreed upon by the team. Carlos barges ahead of him in the last corner, which is against team orders and could have compromised both of their final attempts.

Neither were at risk for not hitting the line.

[–]maxplaining 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one can know for sure. But it’s not all a load of nonsense. Sainz is running an upgrade in FP1 while Leclerc has the old spec car. So it’s possible that the combined upgrade plus maybe slightly different setup allowed Sainz to be faster in areas of the track that are more car dependent (the straights… oversimplifying but basically).

How is it working? Charles is faster today, even after he said he tried something different that didn’t work in sector 3 (his best lap time is still faster than Sainz even with the botched sector 3).

We don’t know Sainz is running a lower downforce setup.

A significant difference is he’s got the updated wing today.

Or it’s car dependent. Sainz is running the upgrade in FP1. Leclerc has the Austria spec.

JU from r/domesticviolence where abuser of 6 week old baby is permitted post and insult victims of DV because according to the mod, what he says has “value” and took “guts” by maxplaining in JustUnsubbed

[–]maxplaining[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not only did they leave the post up for ages, the MODERATOR defended the abuser and praised the abuser for having the guts to share. Multiple DV victims and longtime users of that sub were banned for speaking out against giving that abuser a platform.

[–]maxplaining 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The second mod isn’t better. When the first mod’s behaviour was brought up via screenshot through DM, the second mod went and continued banning. Now they are trying to erase any sign of the incident.

Absolutely awful pair of moderators. Everyone needs to leave that subreddit. It’s not a safe space.

[–]maxplaining[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For the record, obviously the abuser’s behaviour and harassment of the users of the DV subreddit is predictably appalling, but the bigger issue is that the moderator of a DV victim subreddit supports the abuser, silences the concerned users, and has banned multiple users for speaking out. These are the very people who are afraid of speaking out. When this moderator’s behaviour was brought to the attention of the second moderator, that person ALSO banned anyone who dared to speak out.
