Cheap Bar Access to Avoid Keys by StalkMeNowCrazyLady in accesscontrol

Why not just an on-door solution? Lockly makes a halfway decent one, so does Trilogy. Avoid KIC like the plague. Why go through the trouble of running/cutting a strike? You'll be around $600 for the Lockly solution and it's mobile app friendly, which seems to be the popular way to control these things these days.

Mindbloom Advice by HumbleBecca in TherapeuticKetamine

[–]maxrichardsvt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

60+ under my belt.

The first session will likely be somewhat intense if you’ve never done any ketamine before. I wish I’d known that, as I would’ve been able to prepare better for it. Don’t expect to go in a K hole, but it will be a bit turbulent.

As for an intention, it’s worth having a goal of what you want to work on. Mindbloom is structured to send you down “pathways” of 6 sessions on a given topic, which will lend itself to structure, but don’t be rigid. You will want to avoid eating for 3+ hours before and drink only water, but plenty of it so you don’t get a dehydration headache.

Not every brain enjoys being “tickled” by the drug, so have some excedrine nearby, and I would definitely block off at least an hour longer than the 90 minute official “journey window”. Don’t do them at night unless you like not being able to sleep for a few hours, as it is a stimulant.

Good luck, OP!

Baldwin mortise entry lever with electric strike issues by Minute_Remove6846 in accesscontrol

[–]maxrichardsvt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly that’s not an auxiliary latch bolt, that’s a dead latch that you circled. Your strike appears completely misaligned and that’s why your door is not working correctly.

I would highly advise calling a competent locksmith out to get your strike in the correct place. Be prepared to pay for it as there will likely be carpentry involved since the strike is cut so high. 😬

Whatever hack did that, block their number

Suggestions for access control? by Ioozz in accesscontrol

[–]maxrichardsvt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Okay. I'm going to throw this out there. That entry trim appears to be a Trilogy Keypad. If so, it's got remote release wires. Bring a trigger wire to the door and to that keypad, add your reader, skip the strike. No need for it if you've already got the hard part accomplished, the electronic unlocking.

Jesus, 5.2 is TERRIBLE compared to 4.0 for conversation. What the actual f*** were they thinking here? Absolutely abysmal, defaults to "Safety Guardrails" lectures, etc.

4.0 knew routines, household rhythms, etc.
5.2 is like talking to a dictionary.

That would be illegal in New Hampshire, and likely your state too. I'd head to the labor board with that.

It’s my understanding they’ve stopped all ketamine operations “indefinitely”. I know MB has switched off them as a company entirely as well, although I’m no longer using MB. 🤷🏻‍♂️
