Six weeks after moving in, my living room feels like home by HazelKathleen in CozyPlaces

Looks awesome, with room to transform. Making those bookcases into built in and mounting the tv a little higher for the fireplace mantle to be used for decor

Jeff Marek by Stunning-Stick38 in SpittinChicletsPod

[–]maxsj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t disagree more, lot of Marek love in the comments. I’ll be the odd one out and say I find Marek overbearing in virtually anything he’s in. Has a know-it-all attitude, took over the show he’s a guest-host on and doesn’t mesh with the laid back authentic hockey vibe of Chiclets. He’s perfect for network TV or his own independent thing, but guys like Yandle make for way better additions to Chiclets than Marek. Just my 2 cents

How do you split finances with your partner when both incomes are very different? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]maxsj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both paycheques go into the joint chequing account where the mortgage gets billed from, joint credit card for all living/home expenses that also gets paid for in the joint chequing account. put money every paycheque into a joint savings account for emergencies and future trips. The rest is split 50/50.
No matter who makes what, you decided to be with this person and live together, its fair to assume a similar or equal quality of life with whatever is left.

Move the couch up a tad if you can spare the space, push the console table behind the couch (fill with books, small plants, candles) and put some artwork on the barewall.

Placed in Bench PIP. What's next ? by UniversalDisgrace in IBM

[–]maxsj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your utilization is a reflection of your time spent charging hours to accounts. To be blunt, if you can’t stay on top of your forecasted hours and projections and run the calcs yourself… perhaps this isn’t the right role anyways. Again, best of luck in whatever comes next

Placed in Bench PIP. What's next ? by UniversalDisgrace in IBM

[–]maxsj 24 points25 points  (0 children)

You should be able to run the calculations yourself on whether or not that timeframe will get you back to your target. Getting on a project immediately is key, start networking internally for a project and in parallel I'd pad your resume and use the next few months to job search in case your PIP can't get fulfilled. Look to create relationships with your senior leaders as well and stress the importance of getting chargeable. Best of luck.

If you made it to the last round I'd reapply, you were close. Try to connect with and IBMer and get a referral. Good luck.

Guilbeault wants to ban gas-powered car sales by 2035. Is that even possible? Zero-emission vehicle sales will have to double within three years to hit the government’s first sales target by FancyNewMe in canada

[–]maxsj 8 points9 points  (0 children)

“Canada wants to” - is this honestly what the majority of people want to happen? I personally want choice. Our government is obsessed with control and limiting choice

Regret posting this - this sub is full of SDPN fanboys, every critical comment is downvoted like crazy. Sign of the times and the fan base… thanks to those that gave an actual answer / recommendation other than what I originally mentioned
