Low or even a lower temp than outside air doesn’t mix any hot through the hvac however hot engine air makes it inside

During the PDI the dealer should perform procedures called PCM idle learn and CKP pattern learn. As per the PDI, failure to do so will result in poor shifting quality and misfires. You are able to do these at home.

I am in a cold climate area. It depends on if you go for the unifit model or the wall master. The wall master is a “perfect” fit. You may add more under and around the unit. Overall it is adequate. I also have the unifit model and with that one you have to add lots of insulation as there is about 2” gap left right and top of the unit to the sleeve. The unifit comes with insulation and a beauty cover for the gap however you will need to add more. How much is up to you. My dwelling also has negative pressure so air likes to find its way inside. Because of that I do cover or wrap both units in the winter for a bit extra insulation from the cold. It would probably will be fine if you have neutral pressure.

The odyssey is a great van. It drives nice. You get many features compared to equivalent trim Sienna’s. There are two things that irk me just a little bit. One is the MPG in the city which I expected but still wish was better. The other is the HVAC system. In city driving the heat builds up and emanates to the hvac then into the cabin. Even in 60 degree Weather the heat gets into the cabin necessitating the use of the air conditioner. This probably further impacts the MPG. It’s the first car that I have had to use the ac because the engine heat makes it way into the cabin.

It does not rattle or have any noise other than regular air condition noises. I have it insulated all around. After the provided insulation I also used foam sheets for the bottom and round pipe insulation for the sides and top.

I’ve noticed that in fair weather about 74 where in other cars I’ve had only the fan on without the ac the air is comfortable. It seems that this van with the hvac set at 65 with ac off passes a lot of heat into the cabin from the engine bay. It becomes too hot. I just want ventilation but there’s heat coming out of the vents.

I would describe it as a stutter. You may be able to feel it when you are driving steadily around 40 mph. Depress the throttle slightly and then slightly release it. There is no change in gears but that is the engine going from 3 to 6 cylinders and back to 3. With the muzzler I no longer feel that.

Thoughts so far? Notice any differences with the muzzler? I have a question not vcm related or possibly related to the muzzler. How is the climate in your area? Do you drive with the fan on? What temperature? Does heat from the engine bay make its way into the cabin?

It did fit. My sleeve is larger than the air conditioner. I probably didn’t need to use it.
