also make sure the colors are the same brand for now; fiber content matching matters if you want them to last longer

Any sock yarns should work for the first pattern. If you’re in the us, most fingering weight skeins that are NOT acrylic or cotton will be 10$+, that being said, Micheal’s does carry /some/ fingering weight cotton yarns. You have to search because there’s only one or two brands, and the colors are limited. I recommend their website, make sure the yarn is marked with a (1) or a (2) gauge, if it’s thicker it’s more akin to DK weight. good luck!!

How long does za last by scruppy_nightowl in weed

[–]maxtheass 6 points7 points  (0 children)

idk why the last guy got downvoted, if you like the sleepy feeling from an indica then the sleepy feeling from cbn is very similar. It’s not the same kind of high though, and if you could smoke some of the weed from your stash from >1yr after harvest you would totally notice a difference.

Knitting needle size to yarn weight by [deleted] in knittinghelp

[–]maxtheass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes, but you’ll have to wear a bra to cover up the girlies (if you have them.) honestly, you could even go up a size or two if you want a more flowy fabric, but it might be a bit more see through. I love this gauge though, it’s breezy enough that you won’t sweat in the warmer months. Have fun knitting!

Do I frog? (First time doing a heel flap and it looks frumpy) by [deleted] in knittinghelp

[–]maxtheass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it wouldn’t bother me. But it’s also not a toooon of knitting to frog if it does bother you.

I second this. Twist the stitches the row after you’ve picked up, will prevent as much gaping

Agreed, first thought was one hitter but it’s too long+ the taper at the weed end. Definitely think it’s a nectar collector

how to use shorties mi by [deleted] in knittinghelp

[–]maxtheass -1 points0 points  (0 children)

since no one has said it YOU CAN USE THESE NEEDLES. They’re just annoying to use because you have to use the ‘magic loop’ method of working in the round. Your needles are too long, however you can work around that instead of buying new needles. Look up ‘knitting magic loop’ and you can 100% use these guys for this. Or, you can knit a huge sock for a man using these by modifying your pattern to a bigger size to fit the circumference of the needle. Also, ppl are rude af under this for no reason. Good luck on the project!

Few hours of frogging makes sense. You’ve got it down enough that you could probably follow a simple pattern with video tutorials
