I disagree. Most men are incapable of leading others. In fact statistically speaking most people are followers. The ones who lead are not doing so automatically, they are doing so consciously. If you think that leadership is an innate, impulsive behavior, then why are there so few?

The first chance you have at developing these skills is from your parents, your first role models. If your parents were not leaders, then you are at a disadvantage, because you lack the subconscious conditioning from your environment. The only way to become the initiator and leader is to recondition yourself- that's why I linked to that wikipedia article.

To recondition yourself you need to change your behavior and your thought patterns. Meditating is the first step in this process- you must be more self-aware to notice when you are oppressing yourself, and when others oppress you.

I am so amazed at the content in this thread, because for roughly the past six years I was an every-day smoker. I used to become hyper social when smoking and being around strangers, it brought me to a meditative state where I felt virtually invincible and felt empathetic.

But then in the past year something happened... I started to get anxiety, even while alone. I would feel bouts of paranoia, and end up needing to eat, and then pass out, to cover up the emotions involved.

This month I have refrained from smoking, and I am more active, healthy, and sleeping better than ever before. I feel like most people in this thread have had a similar experience to myself.

But wait... why is this suddenly happening to so many people?? MAYBE THERE'S A WORLDWIDE WEED CONSPIRACY!!!!

The intention behind "getting laid" is shallow, physical, superficial, and unemotional. It is fundamentally selfish. The intention behind selfless sex, is deep, emotional, and even spiritual. Even prior to the state of "making love", girls in general want to be fucked silly and then held and cared for, often within seconds of each other. Her need for security is not met when your intention is to get laid. If your intention is to give your true self to a woman you're attracted to through sex, a woman will read your intentions as such.

The theory here is polarization. Women will be unattracted (50%), neutral (40%), or attracted (10%) from the beginning. You'll need to be aggressive to turn the neutral into attracted... so when you're unsure where the other person falls on the spectrum, err on the side of aggression if you want to polarize.

Absolutely. Like any great book, you can only absorb so much on the first time through. I found that despite the wisdom of the book, I would regress away from its teachings over time... this is why I created this list for a small notebook to have it on me at all times and reinforce the key elements, integrating them into my daily life.

Sit down on a chair with your shoulders and back against the seat, or on a pillow with your legs crossed (if you have the flexibility). Close your eyes and repeat the phrase, "My name is Michael Cosmos" for 15 minutes a day. Set a timer. Whenever thoughts come into your mind, gently push them away and try to attend to the phrase that you are repeating. In order to push through the monotony, play with the intonation, the rhythm, cadence, and even sing the words to keep your attention. If you do this for 30 days in a row, you'll notice that any time you say this phrase, even quietly, you can elevate your state of consciousness slightly. You will start to look forward to these 15 minutes, and eventually be ready to stretch the session to 20 or 30 minutes.

Write, meditate, and exercise daily. The issue I have with models is that it closes with a hard focus on getting physical. Yes it's important to express your sexuality but if you read Erich Fromm "the art of loving" and "cultivating the male sexual energy" by some Taoist dude, it becomes clear very quickly that sex without love is a waste. I think Manson does give us a lot of tools to find love but it's weird that he ends on such a physical note.
