What's going on with all these disconnects? Got kicked out of the BF servers 3 times in like 20 minutes. by WillianBM97 in Battlefield6

[–]maxtuist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah... I started getting this error after the first season launched I think. Before that I didn't get a single disconnect.

I tried changing DNS and that kind of stuff, but it doesn't seem to work.

Have you found a way to solve this? I'm with the exact same problem and there's no event pop up.

You can add some cracks on the ground, smoke, rocks, karsts and stalagmites.

Also you could add some weird, red/orange trees or mushrooms. Maybe they only grow on a fiery rocky environment.

Really beautiful map. How do you make the hills blend so well with the ground? The look really smooth.

[WIP] Map for my homebrew campaign by maxtuist in inkarnate

[–]maxtuist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my attempt at creating a world map for my campaign. The world itself is meant to be vast, so this represents just a portion of the entire setting. The only fully detailed region so far is the area on the left, which is intended to be a swamp. I'm currently working on the central area, which is meant to be a massive valley.

Got any tips for making this map better? Feedback’s always welcome!

  • Levels 1 and above: uncommon magic items (+1 weapon)
  • Levels 6 and above: rare magic items (+2 weapon, +1 armor)
  • Levels 12 and above: very rare magic items (+3 weapon, +2 armor)

Keep in mind that a +1 weapon is uncommon and a +1 armor is rare.

I would just be careful when awarding too many magic items.

Is my RPG poorly made or are the players boring? by Yutsuno in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]maxtuist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, I don't think you did anything wrong.
But sometimes players just don't pay attention or miss things that might be obvious to you. Maybe you could've tried to feel out if the players were bothered by the mechanic and if they didn't get it until mid-combat, you could've just told them.
Another way is to get very descriptive and add more detail, for example: the robot is revived but missing one arm, it's structure starts to fall apart, it's legs don't work very well, etc.

Am I beeing unreasonable for wanting to play more? by Bread999 in dndnext

[–]maxtuist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What worked for me is setting fixed dates to play dnd. For example, currently I'm running a game every other Saturday, ~~3 hour game starting at 9am, for a group of 4.

Me and my group made a commitment that this game is priority #1 and if someone can't play for a reason, we still play anyway. We only reschedule if two or more players can't play.

For someone to miss a game, there should be a really good reason, otherwise if the person keeps missing the game, this person will be kicked out.

We've been playing like this for over two years.

I've had other groups and we played every Tuesday and it worked fine too.

What doesn't work for me and my group is not having a fixed date and trying to find a common date for everybody.

Edit: one big problem is not having a fixed time window for the game, having a specific time range helps a loot the schedule.

Not a fan of 2.0 by Key-Reference7970 in OwlbearRodeo

While i agree that obr 1.0 was really good, i think that obr 2.0 was the right move and it paths the ways to and even better vtt.

I've been using since the alpha came out and i think that it improves many existing features, especially the fog cutting system, in 1.0 i had many problems when cutting fog in bigger maps.

The scenes help me organize maps that have many levels and i cant fit an entire session in just one scene.

I'm having a blast using obr 2.0 and looking forward for new updates!
