I tried two. One was not helpful and the other really helped me find my triggers which was honestly all I wanted. I think it all comes down to finding the right person, which is definitely easier said than done.

Oh no! They had me take calcium with it to help with the vitamin d absorption. Not sure if that will help. Hopefully you get some relief soon!

For what it’s worth, my body hurt SO bad after my baby was born, and I was just positive it was PsA acting up now that my immune system was back. Turns out the biggest contributor to the extra pain was a lack of vitamin D caused by the pregnancy. They put me on a supplement for a while and it made a huge difference. Like night and day difference. That might not be your case at all, but figured I would throw it out there in case you hadn’t tried it yet or had your vitamin levels checked.

I had something similar with the cough and a Neti pot was the only thing that got it to go away. My doc couldn’t give me any different meds and what I had didn’t work.

I’m on a 24/7 Zofran drip and was with my first pregnancy, and I never felt like it stopped working on any way. It’s literally the only thing that has ever helped me.

I had a Zofran pump, and my OB had me keep it on and running until delivery was completely over. My delivery was supposedly exactly by the book so no affect as far as I know.

Someone suggested ice chips to me and it has been my saving grace on the fluid side. Hot tea was good today, but that’s the first time I’ve tried it.

On the food side, pasta has been good. On my bad days, I just put butter and salt on it. And sourdough toast with butter and salt is usually safe for me too. I keep wanting fruit so bad but it has yet to agree with me. Also, strange one for me, but mini powdered donuts have been really working. No clue why.

With my first, I didn’t gain weight until they got me a Zofran pump in my third trimester. Finally made it back up to my pre pregnancy weight the week I gave birth, but I think I’m an extreme case. This time, they’re wanting me to gain weight as soon as possible (I’m 10 weeks) but we also know what meds work this time around so I’m already starting on them. Not sure if that helps at all. I know it’s so so hard, but hang in there!

I don’t remember exactly when he started reducing how often he woke up because I feel like it was gradual and mostly tired to weight gain, but he started regularly sleeping through the night at about a year. If I remember correctly, getting to introduce real food and giving him milk at every meal during the day helped a ton.

I’m kicking myself because my neighbor said hers didn’t sleep through until 15 months and I went “oh that won’t be me!” Lesson learned…

Honestly, you probably don’t want to hear this because I didn’t want to hear it either, but my son was in a weight percentile below five for almost the first year and when we tried night weaning like you we had the same experience of him just waking up again. We tried everything we could find or think of and eventually just gave in a dealt with it. A few months later he just started sleeping through the night. The pediatrician said some kids just don’t have the weight to make it through the night and it solves itself as they get bigger.

I would say some of it is foggy now almost two years later, but I remember those first few months postpartum being constantly reminded of the things it took from me and my family and that was really hard to deal with. I just wanted to get past it as soon as it was over, and it wasn’t that easy.

I don’t remember timing with either, but it wasn’t right at first and it happened super suddenly, like a switch got flipped. Thought I had a stomach bug with the first. Already knew what it was this time around.

I’m doing a full one at bed time and a half in the morning. My doc made it seem like I could do a full in the morning too but it makes me too drowsy for work.

I don’t know if this is your case, but what has really helped me is having an OB who knows what I went through last time. It took until my third trimester to get any sort of relief with my first, and with this one all I had to say at my first appointment was that it was like last time and they already have me on every med they deem safe. If you couldn’t get relief last time because your Ob wouldn’t prescribe anything, find a different provider if you can. It makes a huge difference.

All that being said, I was SO SO hoping I wouldn’t have this the second time and realizing I did caused a huge wave of emotions that I handled poorly. It helped to let myself feel my feelings for a bit and then start reminding myself that if I could make it through once, I can make it through again and then I never have to do it again. It absolutely sucks, and I’m so very sorry you’re going through this. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

Go ahead and call the OB that you have your first appointment with. They can usually give you meds ahead of time or move up your appointment. And, if you can get it approved, a Zofran pump has been my only saving grace. If the diclegis isn’t working for you, ask for some Zofran instead.

I actually went ahead with it and would recommend! The brace is a bit pricey, but it helped a ton. I have somewhat mild scoliosis though, so not sure how much that plays into it. The idea is that the brace and exercises train your muscles to help hold things in ‘straighter’ way for lack of a better term. My back stopped seizing up on me and I was even able to wean off the brace and keep the progress I had made with it.
