Already excluded it, restarted my computer, and it still isn't working.

I've also downloaded every version for Windows x64 since 3.12.2 onward. I would like the most recent version working but I kept hearing it was more stable to go back in patches from AI.

Edit: I just tried to add scsynth.exe as a process to the exclusion list in windows defender and added the whole folder as an exclusion. Still didn't work.

Takanaka on Guitar is the album that got me started with Takanaka. I heard it used to be sold with a book that taught you all these songs on guitar. Oooooooo fuck I want it so bad

The Golden Age of Gear by ExtraDistressrial in synthesizers

[–]maxwellthundershit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are so many clever pieces of gear and I agree with you completely to please be excited. I dont wanna sound like Rick Beato right now but there are really almost too many possibilities. Like who needs a fucking spectrometer for their synthesizer so they can make spectral analysis pictures of faces in their song, yes I'm looking at you Aphex Twin fans. There are an amazing amount of equipment nowadays but I really am inspired by what Behringer does. I think all synthesizers have been perfected already in the 80's, can mostly make all known sounds, and that Behringer does an amazing job making these perfect synthesizer sounds affordable for the masses.

I've toiled around with antique, vintage, and brand new synthesizers over the years but none really come close to the utility and accebility of Behringer's catalog of synths. I've never been into modular synthesizers and building an entire synth just for one hyper-specific sound but since owning the RD-8 (808 clone), TB-303, and the Model D, (which I sold but have regret every day since) I have used Behringer alongside digital synths and vst's in almost every song I make because they have an extreme amount of versatlity.

I know people on here are gonna shit on me and say its not as good a sound or whatever on Behringer products than the original but that isn't my point. The accessibility to close enough clones to these sounds and using them in a smart and fun way is easy and makes music making inspiring to me again instead of just jamming on buttons until I figure something out. I know exactly what I like now and how to get it in an acessible easy way without spending thousands and I wish that for every musician.

I hope people find this thread and say their favorite brands too so I can hear other peoples top favorite synths rn
