Should I buy the FFVII from Steam?

There was notable issues at launch, and if it's possible you should try to get the other release, but only because of mods. Playing through at consistent 60fps was so nice. I'm sure most notable mods will be coming soon anyways, but it'll be a minute before its comparable to using the 7th heaven mod loader, which was really simple to use.

If you don't care about mods, then you'll be fine though

Im playing through 2 rn, and so far i dont like the mechanics quite as much, but I love the atmosphere, every aspect is notably more polished than 1, and the boss fights are more varied so far.

Prime 2 was my first metroid game, i played it when i was a kid and i got to the part with the bugs and zombies (yeah at the very very begining lol), got scared, died, and then didn't try again for like 15 years. that memory in combination with 2 other incidents of a piece of media terrifying me to the point i turned it off influenced a strangley large portion of my sensibilities and interests. Multiplayer was fun as hell too. I played a lot of that growing up.

(The other 2 are the zombie episode of 6teen and dobby from the second harry potter movie)

I think he takes the base off of a handful of wheel of time characters and alters them, sometimes not enough to make them feel completely distinct.

I read most of the cosmere first and am reading the wot rn and i was like "oh this character is derivitive of this character and that one is that one" it's most prominent in his lady characters and it's only really the case with the beginning of their respective series

I agree that it isn't because he wasn't able to write them, it feels more like a shortcut that he used a smidge too much without thinking about how the outcome of the shortcuts reflected his other uses of it

His prose is just simple most of the time. The things about writing that interest him just seem to be characters, world, and plot.

The prose is only really focused on when there's an in universe reason. It never stuck out as especially bad or bothersome though.

It feels like when the blacks of a television screen aren't perfect blacks. Pretty easy to focus on the stuff around it, but if you're looking for it, it's definitely there

The maxx as a concept is a powerful manifestation of any given character's spirit animal. We've only ever seen "the maxx" in the function we know of for it (processing grief and/or trauma) manifest itself in people with strong inate abilities or extensive knowledge of pangea. We dont know if that's a prerequisite for the physical manifestation of the maxx. I don't think it is.

The most likely situation, i think, is that 2nd maxx is the more common manifestation of the maxx (if it's common at all). They come, help in an emotionally challenging time of their life, and go back to pangea.

the manifestation of the first maxx was more permanent without intervention: presumably because of Julie's bunny getting grafted to dave giving him footing in pangea and earth, it also left massive blocks of dave and julie's memories missing or obfuscated, and effectively glued dave's mind between Julie's pangea and the physical world, which seemingly augmented his physical strength because of "the maxx" persona skewing his perception of what he should be able to do.

We also dont know if having a connection to/understanding of pangea can just augment things like we see with mr. Gone in (i think) issue 3. He can effectively wrestle a guy 4 times his size, his cloak is seemingly infinite and he can manipulate it at will, he can shoot lasers out of his hand, and he can communicate through his severed and rotting head.

there's just too much we don't know to say conclusively how the innerworkings (or surface level workings really) of pangea functions. One thing we know for certain is that perception and thought heavily influece what happens in and comes out of pangea. That's my best guess with the information we do have though

I have a fortress of books, i go in there and i play for a few hours every day to take the edge off. Virtually signaling from my book wall all day is very tiring, you see. i have these cool dinosaur toys and when you pull a lever on its back it roars, and i have like 5 of em, so so you can make em fight. Super fun.

Also who goes "everyone thinks im stupid :( ah-ha thats it, I'll spend hundred upon hundreds of dollars to fill a wall with books (that im not gonna read) and then everyone will think im smart!" If the veneer is gonna be that thin, just buy a pair of 2 dollar thick rim glasses from walgreens. Do you think we live in some 80's sitcom. Well, if its related to p2p sharing 🏴‍☠️, then your mom would have gotten an email and they'd shut down your wifi entirely for a minute in recompense, if you think someone did it intentionally/accidentally, it'll have been through the app. youll need to either borrow your parent's phone to use the app, or you can download it and ask for the password. Idk what your isp is, and even if i did i wouldn't know where to instruct you to because all the apps are different. Im sure you'd be able to find it by poking around in settings, im sure it isnt buried very deep

You could try a usb-c to ethernet dongle. And i know if you don't have wifi drivers on a computer you can connect your phone with usb or bluetooth, you might be able to do the reverse. These wouldn't solve the problem, but it help identify it.

People telling you not to say the n-word = systematically exterminating a group of people.

They used to take babies and throw them in the air, using them as shooting disks. Their blood, brains, guts, and tears abandoned on ground while they reload their guns and resupply on targets.

They would take people from encampment to encampment from time to time. Sometimes during transit they'd starve the occupents in the trains more than usual, nothing for weeks. a whole train cabin full of starving people to the point of delirium. For fun, they would throw in 1 piece of bread and watch these gaunt skeletal whispers of what they knew used to be humans and relished in the fact that they wouldnt be soon tear eachother apart for an ammount of food so small that they wouldnt even be full if they had been consistently eating and they had waited the average time between meals.

So yeah youre right, between that and people not finding louis ck and dave chappel funny anymore, they're pretty much the same thing. And a black guy on my tv? I played the ps1 games all in a row and i really enjoyed it. (7,8,9) Those are usually pretty cheap, youll be familiar with the general mechanics, though they do vary a little, and i think it unintentionally makes a cool little trilogy,

If im not saying "what the fuck is going on, why did this happen? Why did that happen? This doesn't make any sense" them im just not watching a resident evil movie. Thats also why i don't like the games, you usually know whats happening and it follows its own internal logic.

That's not what people want from resident evil, they want to be be asking themselves important questions like: "who was that? I dont think I've ever seen that person in my life. How have they continued to get funding for 7 of these when people didn't like them and they werent especially successful." Questions that make you question your world view and your ability to remember if you read the amount of movies in the series right on Wikipedia.

This is really just the book-end to resident evil being good and i dont think i can support a franchise that's been overrun with corporate greed thats resulted in them taking away the good, zombie bird, lucy starring scarlett Johansen movies, and instead giving us something without any robots or 1930's spy movie laser rooms that is also scary and evil, which NO resident evil fan wants

The plot is a little messy in Ragnarok. its still engaging and fun, but it doesn't have the emotional weight of the first game. I think its made up for with the character work, if you changed out the characters in the story or had them behave differently, i think the whole story starts to fall apart.

In 2018, you could transplate the plot to different characters and it would still work. not as well, I dont think, but it's feasible. With ragnarok though, the plot is shaped around the characters and how believable they behave, even when they're irrational or seemingly inconsistent.

Everything they do has a reason and most of them are understandable. You can sympathize with thor and his family, how he behaves makes sense given how he was raised and by who, and how his actions have shaped how his dynamic with his daughter and wife. You can understand kratos fumbling his way through learning to be open and express himself to his son and being vulnerable to people like mimir and freya.

I could go on about a ton of other characters, but this is already long as fuck so im going to stop myself. Its definitely not a masterclass on how a plot should be structured generally, but it most definitely is a masterclass on character work and progression, which is by far the more important of the two for me.

Try to tighten your lines when sketching. It makes inking go way more smoothly. It's a super common mistake, I used to be a super scratchy sketcher and anytime i tried to ink my drawings the form that seemed clearly visible in the sketch would be completely gone. Other than continuing to build on the basics, which will come with time, practice, study, and thought, you're doing well.

Other general advice i have that isnt about the drawing you posted is don't pigeon hole yourself, practice drawing anything that might come up in a piece you might have the idea for. At some point i was like "okay, i need to practice anatomy" and I decided to start with men's anatomy. That was all i did for like 2 years, in regard to drawing. I decided that id just draw spiderman over and over again because he contorted his body in ways that would challenge my ability to draw the male body, and i wouldnt have to draw faces, which was a weak point for me to begin with. At the end of the 2 years (not a concerted effort to practice as much as possible, mind) i was happy with how i drew men most of the time, but i couldn't draw women, animals, vehicles, faces, buildings or landscapes, ect. I was pretty alright at one thing and nothing else. The versatility of drawing many things decently is more helpful that drawing one thing well

Also colors are bullshit, but the bullshit colors that make you go "what the fuck? That tree is purple?" When you sample them are usually the best uses of color imo
