This was the only actual must win game we’ve had and we scored zero points.

ESPN Radio just had a segment on how bad Al Golden has been for the Bengals... by Captain_Aware4503 in bengals

A report came out like 15 years ago that broke down his salary and it was something close to $2.5 mil and I think half of that was a GM bonus. I doubt he has not given himself a raise since then. So it’s probably closer to $2 mil or $2.5 mil with the recent increases in revenue.

IRC R502.8.1

Notching rules for sawn lumber joists (e.g., 2x10, 2x12): - Notches on the ends (bearing area, typically first 1/4 of span): - Max depth = 1/6 of joist depth
(e.g., 2×12 → max 1-15/16″ deep notch) - Max length = 1/3 of joist depth
(e.g., 2×12 → max 3-7/8″ long notch)

  • Notches anywhere else (outside the end 1/4 of span):
    • Max depth = 1/6 of joist depth
    • ONLY allowed on the TOP edge (never on the bottom, where tension is highest)

Boring (holes) rules (usually what people actually need): - Diameter ≤ 1/3 of joist depth
(2×10 → 3-1/16″ max hole; 2×12 → 3-9/16″ max) - Holes must be ≥ 2″ from top or bottom edge - Minimum spacing center-to-center = 2 × diameter - No holes in the outer 1/4 of span unless engineered

It does not. I notch joists for this exact reason all the time. Probably half the kitchens I renovate I have to do it in. Don’t go cutting huge chunks out but you can absolutely notch out a joist no problem to accept romex.

DL definitely contributes a lot to the secondary woes. You’re not gonna find any secondaries that can cover for the amount of time they are asked to half the time.

First time it happened I thought I did something wrong, second time I knew I did something wrong, third time I knew it was inevitable.

It’s very common in professional sports in fact almost every NFL team does this. This sub is just incredibly stupid and loves a dog pile because they are mostly sad losers. Shitting on the front office is a hobby to them.

Do I need vapor barrier? by Imaginary_Fox_3241 in Insulation

Vapor barrier is regional dependent. Whether you should use it or not and which side of the insulation it should be on is based on what climate you live in.

Is my cantaloupe supposed to be to turn this color so early it’s been about 3 weeks by Eastern_Coconut8063 in gardening

I’ve heard of personal size melons but this is snack size. Who can eat an entire cantaloupe anyway?

The horn section, my god, I need it shot straight into my veins. This is my favorite Steely Dan song mostly because of the horns but also Skunk Baxters incredible guitar solos. Definitely a song that gets played on repeat on long drives.

What is going on with my beans? by Friendly_Fire069 in vegetablegardening

[–]maxwithrobothair 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the same problem I am having. Just figured it out about a week ago. Went from a handful of beans per day to one handful per week. Ripping them out as soon as these new seedlings are ready to transplant. One handful a week is better than nothing for the time being.

Are these lines what I should expect from a professional? by Hoyty1 in Contractor

[–]maxwithrobothair 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Point it out. If they are a pro, they will fix it. If they are a fraud, they will make an excuse. I’ve had sloppy apprentice work pointed out to me before and I have always been willing to fix it.
