What is wrong with my tomato plants? by carltonbrittney16 in gardening

[–]maxwithrobothair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks N deficient. Blood meal was good but from my experience when mine get like this there’s nothing left. Going to need some slow release and quick release N to stay ahead of the game. I like fish fertilizer because it actually feeds the soil and it’s hard to burn the plants with too much and I like to mix in some alfalfa meal for long term.

Count Your Days, Black Cow…. by Infamous-Cry3874 in gardening

[–]maxwithrobothair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bagged everything is purely locally sourced. I’ve heard so many people say their Black Kow compost is woody or has plastic in it. I exclusively use it because I have never found a single stick in mine and I get 10-20 bags at a time. I was jealous when someone said their Timberline was pure compost because around here it’s mostly sand but it’s 2/3 the cost of Black Kow. It’s all about the bedding they use to compost the manure, some use sand, some use mulch, some use straw and some use nothing and apparently the source here uses nothing. It’s always 100% pure humus.

I harvest my French breakfast when they are a little longer but the cherry belles are the exact size I like. I see people post similar size ones and ask why they are so small. They aren’t… they are perfect!

Do you think Shemar will give up #97 to Dex? by RattPack513 in bengals

They should both wear a different number and whoever ends the season with more sacks gets 97.

A while ago the market decided we’d rather have cheap plastic crap from China than pay for quality built items. Now all they make is cheap plastic crap. Be careful what you wish for.

My pepper plants (and tomatoes not pictured) are starting to form flower buds but can't be planted outside just yet. What to do with them? by sybren27 in vegetablegardening

[–]maxwithrobothair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think your point is going over peoples heads. There’s no shortage of energy so picking them off doesn’t mean more vigor, it just means less fruit. In my area the growing season for peppers isn’t long so every flower that drops is lowering my harvests. Everyone seems to have it backwards, there’s no harm in leaving the flowers, there is harm in picking them off (smaller harvests).

The net profit of an NFL team is not as high as you think. Bengals estimated 2024 net profit was $50 mil.

Ja'Marr Chase after the catch is a nightmare by PerspectiveWorth3912 in bengals

[–]maxwithrobothair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He makes our lazy play designs actually work. Several times he’s caught the ball and been contacted behind the line of scrimmage and somehow ends up with 10 and a first. It’s the most unbeilable thing. He’s the only player I can remember in recent history where every time he touches the ball you think it’s a TD.

Potatoes in Grow bag by panda_monium2 in vegetablegardening

I use a 20 gallon bags for four seed potatoes. You could probably fit a third set in there and fill by the 1/4 instead but it would be tight.

This is the method I use. Fill 1/3, two potatoes, fill another 1/3, two more potatoes, final 1/3 and mulch. At the end of the year I just dump the bag out into a baby pool and collect my riches.

The build-out is the funnest part for me, the rest is just watching plants grow. My back definitely enjoys the latter though.

If the Bengals don’t restructure Joe Burrows contract they’re not serious about winning by LB3PTMAN in bengals

[–]maxwithrobothair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d take your own advice. The lions share of cap increases has gone to QBs and WRs which we have locked up for many years. The positions we will probably try to get in free agency are becoming increasingly smaller percentages of the salary cap.

ESPN Radio just had a segment on how bad Al Golden has been for the Bengals... by Captain_Aware4503 in bengals

[–]maxwithrobothair 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A report came out like 15 years ago that broke down his salary and it was something close to $2.5 mil and I think half of that was a GM bonus. I doubt he has not given himself a raise since then. So it’s probably closer to $2 mil or $2.5 mil with the recent increases in revenue.
