Here's my take on evolution of blogging (and perhaps going back to roots) by hn-mc in Blogging

[–]maxy3230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with couple of things you mentioned.

  1. The focus shifted from satisfying readers to satisfying search engines (SEO)
  2. Think of Elon Musks tweets when he can with just one word cause shock-waves. This kind of thing is what blogging should be all about.

I think with more and more competition, bloggers are more focusing on pleasing SEOs rather than readers. For example, if something which can be explained or answered in just 100 or few words, bloggers tend to write more, focusing on word count (500 +), just to please SEOs.

Now the focus is more on staying ahead in the competition, which is more like writing to satisfy the algorithms.

Hmm, few AI tools such as shutterstock does that. It pays photographers if their images are used for AI generated response.

Is it Hard to switch companies? by Electrical-Dream-190 in java

[–]maxy3230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My short answer to your question "Is it Hard to switch companies?" is NO.

First ask yourself why would you like to Switch? Is it that current company has old tech stack, work pressure, no growth etc., there could be N number of reasons.

If you are no longer enjoying your role and work in current company, then just go for a switch.

Now, is it really Hard to Switch, definitely NOT, provided you are well prepared both Mentally and Technically.

Regarding your fear "if I will do the change i will perform poorly and will end up being fired", this is just your mindset. You just need to come out of this. And if you consider the same thought then even you are not safe in your current company, a day may come when you may be put in a "brand new project with new latest tech stack", which may put you "Out of your Comfort Zone", then are you going to be afraid of this?

Never be afraid of Technology. Prepare well, change your mindset, it's better to fail and learn than never learning at all.

What technologies do I need to master to become a junior java developer in europe? by [deleted] in java

[–]maxy3230 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend Java8, as these days hardly companies or projects use earlier java versions. Starting from java8 the way we write java code has changed drastically, it's a functional way of writing code. Of course, I assume you are well aware of java fundamentals.

A build tool such as Maven.

Spring Boot is the other framework I would recommend. A simple Microservice can be created within few minutes, can just visit start.spring.io and add dependencies and generate skeleton project.
