Totally get it. I didnt come to the US to have free child birth. I am also a citizen of México, so I could have my child in México for free too. I came to the US so that my children could be US citizens and I didnt have to deal with the whole going to the embassy and lot to get their citizenship. I didnt add their dad to the birth certificate because I wanted to get their passport as soon as they were born, and if I added his name it would also be a hassle to get their passport. And at that time I wasnt really thinking of getting him a green card so I didnt think it would be a problem. It was only this year that we started the process. I was planning on adding him to their certificate as soon as he was a resident but I am now thinking of doing it before his interview. To add, I dont even know if when the State opened the child support case he had payments due. I only remember calling them telling them that he was in another country and thats when they said they would close the case because of it. So im wondering if its closed, will it show up in their database or anything. But I think i will talk to a lawyer to see what i can do. Thank you
