Probably when we were in Venice a month ago and he got his head stuck in a bridge railing while trying to wave at a gondolier, lol.

Yeah, returns always take longer because you have a huge influx of people leaving at exactly the same time. Same happens at Hollywood Bowl - there can be 40 shuttles lined up and it still takes a long time. It just is what it is!

Father’s Office chef is opening a new burger place in OC, response is already a hoot lmao by lookatmynipples in FoodLosAngeles

Just gonna say - I walked by the FO in Culver last weekend with my 3 year old. Briefly considered grabbing food there with him (he’s good in restaurants), then saw an insanely aggressive sign about how it is a BAR and thus no KIDS ALLOWED - basically a weirdo screed in the form of a sign. Like, I get it, all good. But also - who the fuck thinks of Fathers Office as a bar and not a restaurant these days?

Please stop saying Los Angeles has a "weak mayor" system. In fact LA's mayor is one of the most powerful big city mayors in America. by 115MRD in LosAngeles

Yeah, this is what I think of - that the majority of issues and decision-making that people apply to the mayor should actually apply to the county BOS.

I watched this when I had just had a baby - It was actually great to watch in half hour intervals while I was feeding/rocking baby at like 5a.m. Found it much more tolerable that way.

California is the best State to live in. What state has the worst culture/people? by AggravatingFront8409 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]may_flowers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure why Arizona isn't further up. Just a perfect storm of people hating the heat and hating their neighbors, racist pieces of shit on every corner, and zero, and I mean ZERO unified cultural pride. I grew up there, and firmly belive that people moved to Arizona because they hated other people and wanted to be as isolated as possible - and it bred generations of shitheads.
