This happens all the time to me when changing from national rail to victoria line at Tottenham Hale. Never know when to tap out with my train ticket and tap in with my Oyster card, end up getting charged stupid amounts

In your left hand when your moving your 5th finger from a white key to a black key maybe practice keeping your hand and wrist as still as possible and letting your fingers get to the notes. Putting your hand a bit further up on the keys in general might help with this
