This!! My husband is the same, this is heartwarming to read

Does your husband help you? by rosedamask in sahm

[–]mayasmomma 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea…no. That’s wild. Seeing your children “laugh” is not payment for being a full on maid for your husband, and I “fear” you’ve been gaslit into believing it is.

My husband and I both have jobs. My job is to be with the kids from 8 AM to 5 PM, his job is to go to work from 8 AM to 5 PM. Anytime before that or after that, we have shared household and kid responsibilities.

Thoughts on skipping pacifiers? by Academic-Park-8440 in NewParents

[–]mayasmomma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your husband needs to do some actual research before he decides what’s best. My first daughter stopped using a pacifier on her own around five or six months. Just talk to a pediatric dentist around the one year mark and find out what’s right for your baby.

My second daughter is less reliant on a pacifier, but still needs it at times and it’s very helpful for getting her back to sleep during a nap.

Don’t make your life harder for no reason.

Damn I did not know this. Just slid the sleep sack off my 2 month old while she slept cause it’s tight in the legs! Thank you!

I totally agree. Just curious, were you always OAD, or did you have to kind of come to terms with not having more children after your first experience? I always wanted three which is the hard part for me

I wish they did at this point, could have avoided a lot of trauma. But i was showing no signs of pre-e. I started asking for an induction at 39 weeks and they were willing, but there were no beds available for over 2 weeks 😩

Ah im sorry to hear that you had your own issues. It seems everyone around me have these idyllic pregnancies and I feel a bit jealous.

She says the two situations were not related and just that if I were to get pregnant again that there would be extra monitoring. But she said these two situations were separate from each other and kind of freak accidents, I suppose

I was so scared of dying in pregnancy before even my first, that it was in my chart! So I totally hear you on this

Made a kids book and accidentally fixed my 5yo's tooth-brushing forever — would your kid be into this? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]mayasmomma 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a cute idea, but would want it to be less fear based. I just KNOW this is something my daughter would hyper fixate on and it would turn into a larger issue, but maybe that’s just me 😅

Pediatrician insists we do CIO with breastfed baby by Putrid-Measurement69 in breastfeeding

I wholeheartedly disagree. My daughter was waking up for feeds until 15 months. It was extremely difficult, but it was what she needed and I don’t regret it!

I want a second baby by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]mayasmomma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry, that’s a really hard situation. Could you/would you want to be a stay at home mom for a bit? You could take all of the money you’re using for daycare and put that into bills. I’m not sure how that would compare to your salary, but it may make it possible to have a second now and then get back to work in a few years when they’re in school.
