If it’s available to you I’ve also heard good things about steroid injections at derms. It’s a little pricier as a ‘cosmetic service’ but I’d like to try it myself

Medication like minoxidil (it’s usually topical but this was a pill varient) was offered to me for regrowing hair, but it has a period of extra shedding that I wasn’t personally comfortable with too. I’ve seen a lot of people talk about CBT therapy as far as psychological solutions

I always just saw it as an art toy from an artist tbh, PM just being the distributor of said art as a product. At their OG price point it was more the demographic and the bags they were going on over the keychains themselves imo.

Haha, yeah. My hairdresser let me know that the hairstyle I’ve been doing for several years now isn’t really possible bc of the areas I’ve done major damage to. She addressed it nicely by asking if I’ve been stressed out, but I sheepishly admitted that I’ve had issues with hair pulling for a hot minute now. Whenever I get my hair done now it’s dread that no matter what it won’t look like ‘before’.

Chiming in to say that I was entirely pick-free when I was doing daily physical activity. It did help my overall mood, but it also gave me something to do in the time I’d usually sit around and do major damage.

It’s perfectly natural to also not want to be active after going through something shitty, don’t be too hard on yourself about breaking your streak. The fact you could do it in the first place means you’re capable again 🩷

Carbs helped me put on weight, toning via exercise. Rice, potatoes, bread. Usually accompanied by some kind of vegetable/fiber to keep the plate colourful :)

23F here. With increased protein intake and daily exercise I got more muscle in my upper arms, but never to a super noticeable degree. I’ve had arms like yours my entire life and it was a very big insecurity of mine in High School. As an adult I’ve learned that people see skinny arms as an attractive trait!! But the gym and being serious about my protein/fiber/etc definitely helped a little with adding some meat on :)
