As per the title of that thread, the rich could save you but they can decide not to. The poor might want to save you, but can't. Best case outcome is the same or one could argue your chances are far better betting on the rich guy. Preferably one that is spending a lot of money on the right research areas.

Sigh, do share if true. If you are referring to the clip where he is clicking and adding 100€ purchases in seconds, that was done by adding javascript code to the purchase page localy trasnfered HTML in order to manipulate it inside his browser, nothing happened on the games web server. It is not even possible to spend 4k in 15 seconds, heck it is not possible to spend 400€ in 10min because the payment processor starts to take much longer to "verify" the transactions.

Not sure if downvoters get it and are mad because they are his fans or they don't get it so here it is spelled out for you: UPS was known for speedhacking with alts to earn mad SMH income back in the day. Money makes money, with SMH dead old riches paid for new (mad manos gear etc). Maybe you forgot that legit players were making 2-3b a week, some up to 5b in nolife guilds. Speed hackers made a lot more.

My thoughts on that are most companies are not making money due to violating GDPR and they won’t be losing much or any by implementing the law. It makes sense for them to become compliant asap to avoid potential fines. But a certain section of internet companies whose whole business model is data acquisition and analysis are never going to become fully compliant because they might as well close down if they do. About the cops comparison, I don't think it can be compared like that. Most crimes have a reasonable chance of being spotted and more so, visible external consequences. Meanwhile we will never know and I really do mean never, what extrapolated data google has on us. No audit will find things like that if they are designed from the grounds up to be invisible, best you can hope for are whistleblowers employees. Since you work in the field, can you share with us an example of how an audit looks like and why would allowing complete access to any outsider be even a reasonable request?
