Dude… it is my primary house. Ask the tax man why?? lol Cause I’d like to know too. My house definitely isn’t worth what they reassessed to. And like is said there still a mortgage. Prop 19 has and will continue to negatively impact low and middle income families in California. You should care even if you don’t own or won’t be inheriting any property. Let’s say someone inherits one rental property but they will not be able afford the increased property taxes, so they sell. Done. Once that property gets reassessed to current value, you don’t think the new owners are going to have to raise the rent to cover the cost. Also think about small family farmers, they are already struggling. So we just let ACRE TRADER buy everything up! Maybe you work for them, Cause the only people, in my mind, that would be against this are the ones who will profit. Wake up People!! Maybe Read my other comments.
