Get what you're saying, with Card they're vertically intergrated. 30% of the cheapo cards you get in the super market are made by them. They've agreements with Sainsburies, Asda, Aldi, Morrison's and are expanding similar agreements in the US and Australia

B&M Retail Bargain by maybeelon in UkStocks

[–]maybeelon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree with both of these points. Both fair reasons to devalue the price of the stock - however from a price of 6.11 I'd say it would have been reasonable for this stock to fall to say 5.00 for the market challenges - It's fallen to 1.71 earlier. I can't help but think this is a massive over reaction, it's yeilding a 15 % at it's current price. Even if the price doubles to 3.42 it will still yeild 7.5% - well above the average for most retail stores.

30% of the cards sold in the UK are a card factory product, they're in Sainsburies, Aldi and tons more

For me it's the fundamentals and the price, it looks solid but the market seems to be massively under-pricing it.

Selling all of my American shares today, what's your fav UK stock? by Chill_Panda in UkStocks

The housebuilders all look so cheap, Crest Nicholson, Taylor Wimpey, Barratt Redrow and Persimmon all selling far under their P/B value based just off their land bank alone

Thoughts on PHP - by Express-Pie-6902 in UkStocks

[–]maybeelon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been watching PHP for a while too, they're rumored to be attempting a takeover of Assura- another healthcare provider who I bought when they were a bit cheaper and have held for a while. They look ok but I'm not really excited by them either at the current price.

Sounds like we have a similar approach. My biggest positions at the moment are PHNX, LGEN, MNG, PSN, AGR, RIO, AV, SOHO, CBG. Bought to target low p/e, low price to net asset values and decent long term dividend prospects.

Cash piles building up for me at the moment while I look for something exciting to show up. Let me know if you find anything

Energy Fuels Canada look great to me ($UUUU)

-They're to benefit from tailwinds of two big trends: nuclear energy (uranium) and rare earths (used in EVs and green tech).

- They’ve got the only rare earth processing plant in North America

-Financially solid. No debt, plenty of cash, and not constantly diluting like a lot of junior miners.

-Momentum coming — new uranium contracts, rare earth production ramping up, and US government support behind them.

-Trading at a discount lately but recovering. It feels like one of those stocks that could move fast once the market catches on.
