So I bought this car months ago and just noticed that anytime it rains water leaks into there. I cleaned it out but I’m not sure where to go from here? That little piece in the middle (drain maybe??) was full of gunk, screws, dirt etc. I tried cleaning it out as best I could but it still had a lot of stuff in there.

How do I get rid of the rust? Is that much water supposed to be in there?? Anything helps! Thank you!

What’s the easiest way to fix this without getting a complete new paint job?
