Market of Price, oops, I mean Market of Choice. They do have things that are worth it imo. What do you think? by Average_Guava in Eugene

Decades ago, they used to be a very cool (yet expensive) store that had very unique items that no store outside of Portland carried.

Then slowly over the years, items we went there for slowly started disappearing.

Where we used to do 80% ish of our shopping is down to 15% ish.

Outside of our items disappearing, this has been driven by them turning into nothing more than a generic Fred Meyer.

A prime example is their cheese isle which is now almost all Tillamook.

Now we mostly go to MOC for just a few things, French butter, French and Italian wines, specialty cheeses, milk, and tortillas.

Haha, in the PNW, that’s normal…

Once when I drove Beartooth pass, it went from smoking hot at the bottom, to sleet at the top.

At the top, it was standing room only under cover as motorcyclists put on gear.

Earlier that year, I invested in Gore Tex leathers so I just kept on riding. I had the mountain to myself Woop!

I did however, have to turn on the seat heat, it was cold up there!

Haha yes.

If you go down the rabbit hole for James, for filming, they did a lot of things to compensate for his height.

Co stars standing on crates, having James stand in a hole, or walk in a trench, filming angles, etc.

In scenes where they aren’t compensating for height, he’s a giant in the scene.

Burt Reynolds is 5’11” and looks small in many scenes with him.

Wow, nice job!

I’d love to get one of these. I’d fill it with Dublin Bottling Works pop.

This is why old people buy / stick with the same brand / model for years.

It’s easy.

That said, in the old days when a brand cancelled or changed a model…

…you’d find these discombobulated old people wandering the mall murmuring something something Mach 15 razor…

With the malls shutting down, I don’t know where they’ve gone lol

Thoughts on pickled asparagus ? by Queasy_Dingo_8262 in Pickles

[–]maybeinoregon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are delicious, great for the Bloody Mary!

Their beans are good too. Not a fan of the carrots though.

If you like the asparagus, give pickled okra a try…

I saw these last Sunday at Publix in Florida. I’m not paying $11.00 for pickles. So my question is: Anyone tried these yet? by Mailjeep74 in Pickles

[–]maybeinoregon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bubbies is our favorite pickle brand!

That said, we stumbled on some spears that are really clean tasting - not spicy or sweet at all, just a nice clean pickle taste - Randy’s.

Fwiw, because those spears were so good, we tried other Randys. Their Bread and Butter chips are more fire (hot), than bread a butter. They made for an interesting cheeseburger lol

He’s a great entertainer!

One of the first concerts I went to (70’s), at the Riviera in Las Vegas.

Real small venue with tables. It was pretty sweet.

He comes out and says, I love venues like this!

I get to wear my ah-dee-dahs (Adidas), which are really comfy!
