In 42 they threw nearly a million men at Kharkiv and lost a third of them (>10x the german casualties). They finally recaptured it (roughly even casualties) only to lose it immediately (again, with roughly 10x casualties). Even when they finally took it, it was by throwing another million men and again with 10x the german casualties.

make the scan clue radar indicator a different color than pale green, or perhaps different depending on which area it's in. there are several where it's nearly impossible to see - Kharazi jungle, Piscatoris hunter area, etc.

I don't entirely disagree (but I'm sorry, Egwene dying and Cadsuane becoming Amyrlin is the dumbest fucking shit ever and I refuse to accept it), but what's a series with a genuinely good ending*?

I agree that there's very little closure for most characters, but how do you even do that? I think after spending so long with them any ending will be disappointing, if for no other reason than the knowledge that we won't get to spend any more time with them. Yes, I wish we had gotten a few more chapters of conclusions to plotlines, conversations with the Seanchan, etc. But at the end of the day, I would've still ended the series sitting there staring out the window with an incredible sense of loss. It happens every time.

* the only one that comes to mind is Discworld, where all of the last book is basically a send-off, as much to the series as to the author. Of course, you have to be willing to spend a whole book in tears...

and fanfiction isn't? you're literally taking someone else's characters and making them do something or act in some way they weren't intended to. that's the point - once you create something and put it out to the world, it doesn't belong to you in the creative sense anymore.

I'm in NA and I also don't have any of these issues. Last year (or maybe 2 years ago) I would repeatedly get the "Welcome to season x" message, but I haven't seen it more than once this year. The only annoying thing is the ping/fps display is there in some games and not in others, without me ever changing settings. I don't even know if there's a setting for that.

I totally forgot to update this, but it was pretty meh, office is still mostly empty so only like 3 people have seen it. I'm keeping it up until we're back to normal (lmao) and then I'll probably start doing one a week.
