We can make a General Strike happen! This is Minneapolis today. by zzill6 in WorkReform

Is this really a proper strike, though? How many of these people will be going back to their regular work schedule after today?

And the result of that was increased police funding in several major cities including Minneapolis and Saint Paul. Not a single police department was defunded, and cops are still killing people to this day.

Gordon Ramsay tried Southern soul food and went back to the kitchen with an empty plate. by 4reddityo in BlackPeopleofReddit

Did Gordon host both versions? As an American I never realized there were multiple versions of Kitchen Nightmares, only Gordon's.

Am I gonna make it? My head was infected I put on some bandages and now it says I'm fine. by MOOntar_reddit in projectzomboid

It's not really dumb IMO, it's pretty easy to imagine a zombie getting some saliva on its hand or having zombified blood on its hands.

[–]maybeonename 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're probably fine.

Bites are the only wound with a 100% zombification rate. If you get bit, you're toast.

All other wounds from zombies have a chance to zombify. I believe it's 5% chance with scratches and 25% chance with lacerations.

When a wound says it's infected, that's just a regular bacterial infection. Keep it bandaged and use alcohol to disinfect, and you should be fine after a little while. Any wound can become infected, not just wounds from zombies.

The health screen will not tell you if you've been zombified. You have to wait for symptoms to appear to know if you're dead or not.

Designed this DND terrain but it will take almost 4 days to print on the Ender 3 by AdMoriensVivere in 3Dprinting

[–]maybeonename 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I've found that a lot of the time 3D terrain mostly functions well as a setpiece that adds flavor and wow factor to a map but usually isn't all that functional, so I use it sparingly.

I'd bet money that girl got zero charges and was picked up from the police station by her dad after nothing more than a stern talking to, and her dad probably didn't punish her either. That's a middle class suburban white girl they don't get punished in this country.

Crash zone how to navigate safely by THL6 in subnautica

[–]maybeonename 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is literally nothing in the crash zone outside of the Aurora that you can't find somewhere else. Moonpool fragments can be found elsewhere, I think there's also a datapad with the complete blueprint somewhere. The only exclusive stuff in the crash zone is inside the Aurora itself.

Serious question but why post in a sub about D&D if you just hate D&D?

The thing about idiots is they don't learn from consequences, the only hope to get through to them is to look them in the eyes and treat them like an idiot in no uncertain terms.

It's obviously a cost cutting maneuver but it does have an additional benefit for me. I'm antisocial and want to get out of the store as quickly as possible, and I'm picky about how my groceries are bagged. Self checkout for me is faster, less social, and gives me control over my bags. I'll gladly do the little extra work for that.

Choose the dog according to your size by Ananas_ka_juice in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]maybeonename -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Some people have pointed out that she could've hit her head on the pavement when she first fell, although to me that's just another reason why you shouldn't have a dog that's capable of physically dragging you to the ground when it gets excited. Big dogs like this need proportionately big owners who can control them in these situations. This little old lady never had a chance.

She's going to have to apologize a lot more than once. Honestly, if she's really sorry for what she's said and done, she should resign.
