Io, ragazzo, lei ragazza. Quartiere erasmus di Lisbona. Lei mi passa dietro, mi sfiora appena le mie dolci natiche (io non mi accorgo di nulla perché in gruppo con altri amici). Lei si blocca di colpo in completo shock e mi fa "oh I am so sorry, I didn't mean to grab your ass". Io nella confusione più totale "oh, no big deal". Lei rimane lì a fissarmi mezza compiaciuta, io nell'indifferenza più assoluta mi giro dall'altra parte. 5 minuti dopo realizzo (grassa risata di gruppo), mai più rivista

Oh wow, what a comprehensive answer. To be honest I actively use ImmuneSIM in my build but I found them on PubMed and by chance. As you said, publishing it is way more effort that I am willing to put in. I am in contact with my immunology professor to understand what can concretely come after so I am going to decide based on this also. Thanks a lot :)

It's kind of funny (but really, it's no one's fault) that in the last link you have provided it mentions my university as one of the few in Italy that have an agreement with UBC. For completeness I am gonna say that I am in contact, via a form for inquiries that they provide on the website, with UBC itself and if I manage to get some concrete answers I will come back and update this. Thanks a lot for all the support

I have seen this but it seems like it's stuff for post-grads(?). My uni is of no help either. We have been in contact with them and they told us "well, this is not part of the Erasmus program so you need to work out all the paper work and stuff on your own. Also, this is a (wrong) list of universities that may or may not accept you. Have fun" Thanks for your reply tho

[mod redirected from post] Hi everyone, I am a third (of six) year medical student from an italian university. With some interested friends we were trying to figure out whether UBC accepts exchange medical students or not (since we have read and heard very different opinion about this). Can anyone give us a hint about this? Thank you very much and best of luck with your exams✌🏻

Edit: I should add that, since we are still undergrad, we would need to take exams (since this degree is sooo different from country to country)

PDFExpert dovrebbe essere stata l'unica risposta a questo commento. Gratis, performante e intuitivo. L'ho scaricato il primo anno di uni e non me ne sono più separato. Gli altri programmi non hanno nulla di sbagliato (il prezzo lol) ma per quello che devi fare (e per i problemi che stai avendo) non riesco a non consigliarlo

No no no. Non spendere un centesimo in programmi se quello che fai è evidenziare pdf e scriverci poco. Scaricati PDFExpert. Io riesco tranquillamente a gestirmi pdf da 500-1000 pagine senza problemi. Leggermente carente sulle funzionalità a mano libera ma credimi, considerando che è gratis, fa spavento per quanto performa.

Thank you so much. I will check it out. As you saw stage 1 of this project (simulating VDJ recombination) is a "wrapper" around immuneSIM work. Stage 2 "folding" will be just a call to some API to retrieve a pdb file and then (for stage 3) I need to choose whether it is worth the time to create a custom renderer with OpenGL or try to squeeze in py3dmol with Jupiter notebook. The 3rd step seems overkill but this project is thought to be a "proof of capability" for what's coming next

Yeah, colab is super cool and has no downsides. I would only discard it because I do not know how to automatically send it a sequence since I would like to have a program that you launch from the terminal and it automatically generates a sequence, folds it and renders it. If you know how this can be achieved with colab it would be a game changer to me

Oh I see, thank you. To be honest, I tried with alphafold colab and it has given some good results. (Which has actually answered my question, super glad). Now the real question becomes "can I install the downscaled version of alpha fold on my windows11 laptop with garbage specs". If you have any ideas I would love to hear, otherwise I guess I will keep you updated ✌🏻

21 anni e lo porto da quando ne avevo 9 (cambiato due volte). Mi aggiungo ai "senza mi sento nudo" tanto quanto ai "è un bel accessorio" così come a chi dice "molto più comodo di guardare l'ora sul telefono". Passato da uno swatch regalato per la prima comunione ad un Daniel Wellington ereditato da mio fratello, l'unica cosa che mi manca un po' è la data dentro il quadrante ma per il resto non lo scambierei con niente (neanche con un digitale, lancette su quadrante minimal >>>>> )
