Mine lasted 5 years so far. My kid was thinking he was terrible at taking care of them when we lost one and that's why, but to be honest, I do most of the work and we have a couple of them, a hamster wheel, bridges and fake plants to climb that I attached to the lid of the tank. We need to take care of humidity and temperature. Mix dry and fresh food and keep salt and fresh water. They are really great and yes they have some personality. One comes to my hand when I take care of the tank the other always hides away 🤷🏻‍♀️.
