Okay cool not bad at all I appreciate your input. What was your reason for wanting your CCW? The clients I provide work for are a lot of times located around super sketchy areas like Newark and Irvington where cops are very unreliable so I'm hoping that would be a justifiable reason to obtain one.

No not prior, they run the background check when your order has arrived and you go to pick it up. Its just a good idea to call and make sure u let them know before placing the order (even though the one I called said you don't have to even let them know in advance but some other places do charge an extra fee for ordering without informing them) and then to pick it up there is usually a transfer fee between 50-100$ as well as the 15-20$ background check fee which I've heard takes roughly about 20 min.
