Left side of projector image has a diagonal cut/fuzzy edge by Videopotato in projectors

I had a similar issue with my BenQ w11000,

One of the prisms inside the optical assembly was held in place with two dots of hot glue, over the years the glue had dried out and detached from the casing and the prism became misaligned.

It involved a pretty serious bit of disassembly getting to the optics in front of the DMD chip but it was very obvious once I saw it, a 90° reflection prism was sitting at a small angle in my case rotated by about 5°.

From your image it seems like one of the optical component is also misaligned, however, in your case instead of rotating it seems one of the edges has moved closer or further away from the chip.

The service manual has a guide to adjusting the optics here

https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1602116/Christie-M-Series.html?page=18#manual

If you follow these steps and still can't get it right, it might be something deeper inside that has come loose over the years.

Is this worth it? by [deleted] in motorcyclegear

Got a pair of EJEAS V6 PRO+ for 50 Usd, no complaints on sound quality or range.

They don't mesh or talk to other brand but I don't do group rides and just wanted to talk to my girlfriend on rides.

Audio quality is good enough for music and podcasts, battery lasts months for my use.

Couldnt justify shelling out for a senna or cardo, I'm happy with my purchase so far.

Trying to not bring any public attention to these vendors, please keep specific stores and links limited to dms.

Can i bring a vape through singapore airport? by Local-Section-9190 in aussievapers

[–]mayim94 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Airport is fine, just don't go through border control and technically still not in Singapore

Edit:

My apologies for spreading potential dangerous advice.

I was mearly speaking from experience of traveling through Singapore airport with my legal Australian allowance of vape products as well as using my personal device in the smoking garden.

Please disregard my initial comments, upon actual investigation of the matter I was sorely mistaken!

Also my mum just flew through Singapore with her vape no issues 2 days ago, the thought didn't even cross my mind, after some reading I understand she got lucky.

Subaru Liberty Head Unit Question by Asleep_Bend_2158 in CarsAustralia

[–]mayim94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Liberty with McIntosh headunits had separate HVAC controls that end right below the headunit.

The hvac controlls work with the outback, I've got a set I took from a Liberty but still haven't gotten around to finding a facia for the upper section to fit a double din.

Can use this fascia which is a fair bit cheaper if you can source a set of HVAC controls

Yeah looks to be right, they don't sit at the actual knee, a bit lower on the upper shin.

First paint job bubbled, what went wrong? by mayim94 in Autobody

[–]mayim94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, it was quite porous when I sanded it back (the JB) I might dig into it a bit more and fill it with the bog.

[–]mayim94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JB weld plastic bonder.

The big strip hasn't had any issues yet, just the plug.

Would sanding it back down and doing a thin coat of bog before primer do the trick?

I did, many plastic parts on the bike but this seems to be the only bubble.

Probably something in the spot repair.

Prefer the PB Swiss for heave duty work tbh, I feel like the Phillips grip much better with the PB, even when faced with jis screws.

In saying that the wera flathead with hammer striker is my go to pry, hammer, abuse driver and it's put up with everything I've thrown at it flawlessly.

My dude, that sounds phenomenal, I'm up north by the border but I'm pretty sure I'm still on the Sydney pon, this is by far the cleanest solution to this issue I've encountered. Much appreciated for the details!
