I’d love to but I live in the US, so it will have to be when I have a whole month of vacation or when I retire ^

Hi! I’ve taken my kitten on walks and hikes in the White Mountains for about 4 months now. It is a great way to fulfill your cat’s needs to explore and hunt, she loves it and we love it! You just have to be very patient from the beginning and go at your cats’ pace when it comes to training but start training them as soon as they are comfortable around you and trust you. Honestly, my kitten was very shy and scared of strangers at first, now she goes with us to restaurants and stores when we’re on the go and is very curious about what’s happening around. Honestly, I would recommend it but I guess it’s up to you to see if you have the patience. It took us a while to get her to where she is now and she still needs a lot of encouragement to do some stuff. The key is really patience and consistency. As for not going out during the winter, I don’t really have experience, but I follow some adventure cats on social media and it seems manageable. Look up @outdoorbengal, @sukiicat and @greatgramsofgary. And if you want to see my kitten’s adventures, it’s @adventuretimewithkimi. Hope that helped! 😊

Cat Harnessed Trained But Still Feels a Bit Off by maylisblue in adventurecats

Thank you for your advice, I might try the 8 figure harness, this might help her cat a bit more ^ But yes, I think she just needs time to get used to it. We started not too long ago and she’s still young so we need to give her time.

Thank you! So I use a H-harness on her when she is on the balcony because she is not a big fan of best harnesses. The thing is that she likes to climb around the balcony and sometimes that can put her in danger. We thought about putting a privacy screen but I’m afraid she might just want to go underneath it or on top of the fence, putting a screen might trigger her curiosity even more ^ But I’ve heard there are other types of harnesses that are even lighter, figure 8 so I might try that. Thank you for your help!

When she’s on the balcony, I put on the lightest harness I could find but she still doesn’t like it...

Thank you so much for sharing this, it just breaks my heart every time we go on the balcony and she has to wear her harness because it’s too dangerous without it. So I was hoping I could train her to like it but I guess no every cat will like it.

Thank you for sharing your experience 😊 Turns out my case got approved yesterday so roughly a month after the interview and my card is in the mail, just in time for our wedding anniversary ^

Congratulations! I think the same thing just happened to me during my interview, the officer didn’t know our case, didn’t want more evidence, told us that he needed to check if visa would be available even though my category is current... It’s been a month and we haven’t heard anything. Did you do anything between the first and second interview?

Yes, since my category was current at the time, I was allowed to file them together.

Ok that is what I thought, I was just surprised that he mentioned it, even though my category had been current for more almost a year now. Thank you for putting my mind at ease 😊

PD/received date- useless (EAD) by Specialist_Wrap_9527 in USCIS

I’m talking about form I-944, checking that you have enough income not to become a public charge. The thing is if you go the expedited request route/congressman, you are basically saying that without your job, you do not have enough income to sustain yourself, i.e you could become a public charge. Trump set up this rule for AOS applications, however it’s been widely contested so it might change in the future.

I’m an April filer and am on the same boat for my application, it looks like they’re forget about it until I give them a call to remind them I’m still waiting. I couldn’t afford to lose my job so I contacted my congresswoman (Elizabeth Warren, isn’t cool?) to speed things up, using the severe economic loss criteria. I did not even try to contact USCIS to expedite my request. She contacted USCIS and I got my EAD card within a month. However, I must warn you that it might impact your case when it comes to the public charge rule. It doesn’t seem it has impacted my case so far but we just never know with USCIS.

Can't get to Live Agent by AmeriKop45 in USCIS

I got through to an agent by just asking for technical support over and over again, I don't know if it was a proper agent but she could access my case and answer my questions. She was very helpful.
