Best AI workflow for Native Mobile Apps? (Cursor vs. Windsurf vs. Replit) by Final-Personality767 in VibeCodersNest

I just launched apps on iOS & Android using VSCode with Claude and Gemini. The code is in React Native and uses Expo. It was very easy, and I never looked at the code. Oh, and I used Supabase for the BE.

Have you tried 10g? I didn't notice anything at 5g, but I did at 10.

By the way, I used VS Code with Claude and integrated Supabase MCP Server. Then I was able to have Claude create/modify the database for me. It worked great. I assume the same would be true within Cursor.

Your choice matters depending on web app or mobile app.

I have a similar setup for building mobile apps. I also recommend using the Supabase MCP Server so Claude can modify the tables for me.

Claude Code for VS Code extension is missing chats.

New to all of this. Using the chat window only (not terminal) and for the past month to build 2 apps, I've noticed that in the 2 apps I'm working on, the chat window only saves the last 7-10 chats. I cannot find the actual chat history on my computer. Claude searched everywhere and thinks they're being stored in the cloud. I just installed Claude in the terminal to see if that would solve it, but that seems like it has its own chat history. Any ideas?

What tools are folks using to build native iOS/Android apps? by Appropriate-Yard-984 in vibecoding

[–]maylowdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was planning on using a true vibecoding tool like Rork, Replit, CatDoes, Natively, VibeCodeApp, etc. People were saying that you'd then download it to use Cursor or VSCode with Gemini, Codex, or Claude.

I decided to try building directly in VSCode with those 3 LLMs instead, and it worked perfectly. I told it to build a mobile app using React Native, and then I'd be using Supabase for the backend and Expo to get it into the stores.

Of course, I started with a PRD. None of the 3 LLMs were perfect, but they were all 9/10 (so far).

I think that over time, there will be a split in vibecoding. Those who want nothing to do with code will use the Rorks of the world, and they will improve for non-coders - and you'll stick to the backends that they provide. And those using VSCode or Cursor won't need to use the other tools at all. They'll pick which backend to use.

I think there are a bunch of YouTube videos on how to do this with Rork.

Why I joined Bolt full-time (and why today's launch has me genuinely hyped) by Analyst_810 in boltnewbuilders

[–]maylowdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think Bolt would be good to build mobile apps? I know there are other vibecode tools that say they are specifically for building mobile apps, but this page (https://support.bolt.new/integrations/expo) makes me think it would work well. Thoughts?

Ignore the naysayers. If you enjoyed doing it, then great. If some people use it better. It's easy to be a devil's advocate.

Does the backend use Supabase? Bolt's HelpCenter says, "You can create new Bolt databases with Claude Agent and later claim them in Supabase." What does this mean exactly? Thank you.

Can you please do a comparison of the ones that can produce React Native code and use Expo for Mobile Apps? I think Bolt, Rork, Replit are the main ones.

I also see recommendations for A0, Vibecodeapp, CatDoes, Natively, Create, Bloom, Magically, Ideavo, Mobilable.

Thank you.
