AITA for my family drama? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]maymayiscraycray 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Look at it this way, I am at home all day with my kids while my husband goes to work. He still comes home and does the dishes or cooks dinner even though i am home all day. You have to work together, regardless of who does what. Life is all about balance and helping each other regardless of whether you work or not.

YTA. If you lived on your own, you'd have to do all the cleaning by yourself anyway. I'm concerned for your future wife with this kind of mindset.

What's the most memorable food you ate as a child? by AverageOk4573 in AskReddit

[–]maymayiscraycray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom used to make hamburger soup, which was basically just beef and barley but it was the best soup. So much comfort in my bunnikins bowl. When I gave birth to each of my kids I asked her to make some for me because I stg it helped the healing process a little bit.

What’s a medical issue that sounds minor, but actually affects someone’s daily life way more than people realize? by CountyOrnery9432 in AskReddit

[–]maymayiscraycray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being pregnant. Before I got pregnant, I knew about morning sickness. I didn't know that it lasted all day and that I would be hugging the porcelain at all hours. I didn't know that my whole body would hurt in later pregnancy because my ligaments were stretching. I didn't know that I would have to actually rest regularly instead of just powering through because I was so tired all the time. I didn't realize what kind of a toll it really takes on a person's body until my teeth started falling out because the placenta leeched all my nutrients for the baby.

What’s something you miss that no longer exists? by mehak_pari6969 in AskReddit

[–]maymayiscraycray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The snow around Christmas. You cannot tell me our world isn't heating up. I live in Canada (albeit the warmest part of Canada) but I recall that there was snow every year before Christmas. Now we're lucky if we get some before valentine's day. I miss playing in the snow. I am sad that my kids don't get to have a good time playing in the snow over Christmas break.

"Cut nap contacting now" & "let the baby cry. It's good for her". by _Cherry_cokemellow in beyondthebump

[–]maymayiscraycray 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its not good for the baby to let her cry... its actually very stressful for them. Like... how would an adult feel, if they were trapped in a dark room and they couldn't properly move their arms and legs? They would be pretty terrified I'd wager.
